I have been away from SRO for a month now and noticed the SOS (Same old Stuff),

Complaints over poor service to the users
Lack of Content
And abuse of the system through spam, player attacks, Illegal programs etc.


I wanted to know does anyone have an actual solution to the problem or only complaints?
If banning Bots was an effective solution to illegal program abuse I am sure Joymax would have cracked down on it 100% more effectively by now.
But all I see is Bots banned and they return, then the next day users complaining about the same thing. A stupid cycle of who is right and wrong will never solve these problems.
Out of all our complaints, ignorance, arrogance, and Joymax's simplicities, do we have a solution from either the player or Joymaxes side to please both parties?

Joymax needs money and users to continue playing, and players want service and constant content in the game.

Will this ever happen? There has to be a solution right?


Banning everyone is obviously not a solution.
If you ban everyone that breaks the rules then JM loses money and they lose, and so do we.
Joymax blocks illegal programs then its the same thing, ppl leave and abuse another game.


There has to be some kind of solution, I know we have some intelligence to come up with a solution to the problem and not a complaint to continue this endless cycle of hate.
So come on guys, take 5mins and brainstorm a proper solution if you want SRO to be the game it should be.

We have solutions, but will JM listen?

I am sure they will if it means continued growth of players and of course that means money.

What I am trying to say is - Even though current game situations suck, it is good for Joymax.

Pleasing the few of us that want a clean game could in the end be the death of SRO not the solution to everyones problem.


I personally can not think of anything except that a quality game with good content will keep honest and legit players as well as more to come in the long run.

And the palliative remedy is to remove its symptoms and not the root cause. your remedy would be like having a open heart surgery on a 99 year old patient who doesnt really have a high chance of recovery. So doctors wont allow to operate.

but JM will never implement it...

The thing is that JM need more GM's...
The thing it is now that a GM is an actual employee of JM-corp. it means a GM gets payed for their service, and they need to live in Korea, cause the GM work takes place in the JM-headquarters, and not at home of the GM.

So JM needs to let go their strict hiring-personnel rules.

I know the setup of a formula that works great, I myself work as a GM to, not in Silkroad offcourse, but in another game with a fairly large community, that game also consists out of servers, every single server alone has 1 or 2 GM's, depending on the servers' popularity.
All servers are also grouped in teams of 4, at the head of those 4 servers is one Super GM, he has controls in all 4 of the servers and he leads the GMs of the servers he controls.
Offcourse the Super GMs have a boss ass well, they are called Game Administrators, they have rights in ALL the servers.

What Joymax should do is make all the current GMs they have working at the JM headquarters Game Administrators, then they start sollicitation procedures on the forums, they will search for people who will become a GM, in only ONE server. Those GM's dont have to come to Korea to work there, and in turn they dont get payed for their services, that way they will get many more employees, but they dont have to pay extra for it.

The GM's, who only have ban rights in 1 server, can fully concentrate on their own server, making the work pressure much less heavy, and many more bots will be banned, cause their are ALWAYS gm's at present.

Trust me this formula WORKS, their are enough people who like to be GM i think, offcourse JM would have to set some serious demands to the so called 'free based GM's', cause any lunatic who hates the game can send a sollicitation, and then fucks the whole server up.

More GM's = More bots banned EVERY DAY, so not only once every month, or, as it is now, once every year = more happy legit players.
Offcourse the bots will keep trying making new accounts, but once they realise that their new account is banned EVERY DAY AGAIN they will stop eventually.

Heres your sollution to all your problems JM!
Now if JM wasnt so dumb-assed and selfish they would actually use some of the ideas the players gave them, but they wont cuz the only thing they see is the money from the frustrated premium buyers who cant get in the game because of all the bots who keep returning over and over again.

you guys talk about the same sh*t all the time. "They" won't be permantly banned because of the revinue that joyMax gets from them.. Seriously, all the complainers sound like an old lady convention and you guys b*tch with same furvor as a jobless housewife with nothing better to do. Play the game or not. Stop spamming the forums with the same "will they ever do anything" threads. You will ALWAYS get the same answers: meaning, THEY WON"T DO ANYTHING!!!

You know its funny. All the people I know that have been banned for botting, not one actually quit. They just started a new character. Have no fear, banning bots has nothing to do with joymax's wallet.

Also Rev6 showed how easy it was to detect ISRO bot. They proved it on the Alexander server. It did them a lot of good. So now they are about to release a new bot program. Oh well.

And to everyone who says they are understaffed..........How many people work for Rev6?

Sounds good except that JoyMax is an incredibly conservative company. On top of that (and I don't know the whole story) I guess they got burned by one of their local GM's in Palo Alto or whatever a while back so they're that much more unwilling to give authority or control to anyone outside Korea, especially one not employed by them.

As it is now, we can be pretty confident that everyone who gets banned actually did something against the rules. Can you imagine all the "my friend got banned just because he KS'ed a GM" posts we'd see?

And to be honest, if I were a GM, I'd ban anyone who KS'ed me, legit or not.

The only reason why bots always return is because its so easy to return at all...

The bot punishment list is updated only so rarely, you can make a high lvl char while botting with ease, and play with it for months before you get banned...
If JM would take on more GMs, and assign a GM for only ONE server and install the same tools whatever rev6 used to detect bots, they can get banned EVERY DAY...
Since its impossible for a bot to reach a high lvl in just a day they will eventually stop making new accounts, cause they get banned anyway.
Sure they will invent new bots...but if JM keeps putting pressure, the problem would eventually become less.

And that is why JM shouldnt allow to let a free based GM play at all, I mean, a GM can play on another server if he wishes, since he is only a GM on 1 server, not on all of them

Since its obvious that hiring more GMs alone wont do the trick quite just yet there are other ideas that JM could try.
For instance, they could make up some more different styled quests, I mean basically there are only 2 types of quest ingame now, first is collecting XXX number of items from monster, second is killing XXX number of monster...THAT BORES ALOT...
People bot because the game has nothing to offer, and they dont simply stop because being a high lvl is really good fun, but to get there is hell.
And if u are one of those very few legits who reach lvl 80 you prolly get hacked or something because you have a SOSUN +9 and billions of gold because you played about a year to get there.
Therefore, JM should allow rollbacks on characters to take place, I actually dont get why they dont allow it in the first place...especially not to those who bought silk.

They could also change the xp-system a bit, I mean at lvl 50 you get like 0.01% xp per kill...who wants to lvl that way? At lvl 60+ its even worse...
Offcourse people go to bots, I dont blame them.
And SP Farming to...to have a good character one must SP farm...it takes so much time...yes even with the new skill point gold ticket.
Most people dont have the patience to farm for 6 months to get their character right...
Farming 250k O__________O lol the most I ever farmed was 6k...after that...I jumped for the roof 6 times

I think there are many solutions for their problems...they probably never listen anyway.

But maybe Ill move to Korea myself to go and work for them, and I will fight just as long untill they implement all our good ideas to make Silkroad a heavenly game

This is a very serious thread, and i believe a very good one. I think, when well structured like this, all the players of SRO, who have ideas have a true place to make them heard. Who knows, one person can have an amazing solution, but missing that extra part. Which another user might know of how to add.

So, this is not the first time ive had to warn you about pathetic attempts at posts, however this is the first time that it has annoyed me enough to take action.

Also, be weary of what you post in future threads, i would not have a problem repeating this in mulitple threads if neccesary.

+ 1 to that K-J, it is a furom. and we are entitled to our on opinion even to the tiniest "metaphor".

it's quite simple really. if Game Guard actually worked, that would stop everything from botting to pk2 editing.
but it doesnt.. and evedently joymax doesn't feel like fixing it, being how long that it has been down.

there's so many solutions to banning bots, it's just that joymax .. hmm I dont want to say doesnt care or is inactive.. cant really find the word. I guess joymax is just joymax.
