i dont knw if this is the right place to post this but there r alot of complaints about bots. wat is so bad about them. i just want to knw so i knw wat they r talkin about to get rid of them.

there is a lot wrong with them. ill name a couple of things.

bots levelup quicker than others since they are not played by players but
by a computer program. therefor, they do not need to take breaks for food
or drinks or school. takes the fun out of the game when there is always
people higher level, without doing anything for it.

bots farm gold which they sell on websites. this is illegal, they make money
with it and they turn the economy of a server into a chaos.

bots killsteal and dont answer to pm's or whatever. so if you are training in a
part of the map that has a lot of bots, its a hard time grinding/farming for you.

thats just a couple of things why we want em out of here

Can one of you new mods do a little investigation into this. This is like the 5th or 6th bot thread in the last week or two from a new user saying "I don't know anything about bots but what's the big deal." It sounded like BS on the first one and it sounds like that much more BS the 5th or 6th time.

you are right, but some people honestly dont know.

this is not this persons first post. go to the tech forum, you will see he hasnt
even started playing yet. if it were just some BS post like you say it is, it
would have been deleted

yes some people just dont know what bots are. when we are looking for new members for mu guild we tell them the rules, one rule is no botting.. and we often get the question what is a bot.

erm. they're every where, they automatically train peoples char's and, only way to get rid of them is murder ^^

Indeed,a justified murder.

He hasn't starting playing yet and yet he's wondering what's so bad about bots? I wonder how many red flags that should raise before one would say that this is a bogus post.

As far as bots, they are scum of the earth players... actually, not even players because, as already stated, bots are the computer actually playing for you so you're not even playing SRO.

i seriously dont mind bots if they just turn of the dam ks other than that i really dont mind its there char i think they should do what they want im not supporting bots but ive been playing silkroad since oasis first came out im just saying idc what they do long as thye dont ks

Not too sure why you guys are only mildly bothered by bots.

But, it's no secret, even if a bot doesn't ks, bots takes away a great many things in this game:

1. login space.
2. grind spot (most bots are many levels above current monsters so will 1-2-3 a monster).
3. ks but then again, who cares about ks when you think about the first 2?
4. bot get to level very fast, no break, no tiredness, etc.
5. No miss clicks, although bots may get caught in objects.

And I'm sure they are many more things that bots do that kills this game, like economy for one. But the grinding spot, that is, in my opinion, the very worse. Bots will massively take spots, say like flowers, good luck on trying to kill flowers with a massive amount of bots that 1 hit a flower and move to another.

Bots are illegal, whatever they do in this game is illegal, I don't "mildly" don't like bots, I hate them for every negative aspect they bring into this game.

And if you think 1 isn't important, when you are trying for the 20th time to login, think about this next time. After the time you have played, given 1 hour, 2, 3, so forth, you are tired and log off like any normal human being. Think about the fact that a bot doesn't need to ever log off, bots don't get tired. I've seen the same bot at my grinding space throughout the day where I logged in and logged off.

the thinks i hate the most r the gold botters i hate there fucing guts oh wait... they have no guts ^_^ reason i dont mind botters is cause they usualy dont bother me and my friend was a bot b4 he got banned so i got used to em and anyway botters jsut want what we want to get lvl 80 and beat the craap out of ppl

Hmm.... im tired of bots, but there is 1 solution.
Sosun weapons.
Its hella hard to obtain 1, but its worth every last bit of gold you spent on it

I can ks bots over lvl43(2th fire book nukes at lvl30 mobs...ewww...)
So.
1. Think about a method, how to make money fast
2. Make TONS of gold
3. Buy sosun.
4. Own at your lvl and ks bots.


ps: at least, im en par with bots, if i cant ks 1.

I have just reached lvl 44 and have been training at Red Bunwangs.
The place is swarming with bots.

I find a Bunwang on it's own
Imbue
Select an attack to hit the Bunwang
Hit it once
Start my second hit
Get KS'd by a bot with a nuke and waste mana.

This is my life on SR right now and I'm getting to the stage where I feel I can't play.


That's what bots do in my opinion.
