attacking players

so when attacking players when do i get murderer status?
if i just hit them and dont kill i dont get anything right?
but if i kill them i get murderer?
also, w/ bots do they fight back when you attack them?

If you hit then and DONT kill them. You will have a purple name for 15 seconds from the last time you hit them/they hit you. During that time any player can attack and kill you without any penalty.

My friend and I had fun today. I was training and surrounded by bots so he came and froze them everytime they tried to KS me.

if you attack someone, you turn pink which means they can kill you and you lose not very much exp and might drop an item. If you kill them, I'm pretty sure they have 0% chance of dropping an item and you get murderer status.

You can actually lose an item from your inventory if you get murdered by somebody else. I'm not sure if you can drop an equipped item though.

Yeah this is true, Ive been murdered b4 and dropped an item from my inventory.
