SIlkroad on vista

oke guys, when I'm going to buy a new laptop they're also giving me a windows vista basic cd ( yay ). But does sro work on vista ? some say it does,some say it doesn't
help ?

when people knows how to type in very very precise and unique terms that would lead to the thread he wants. most people just type in a whole bunch of general terms and the search function returns with every thread on the first page of general discussion.

the best to make SRO update and run on silkroad do wat i did.
download it dont open the file dont click on it
TURN CONTROL PaNEL INTO CLASSIC VIEW TO FIND THINGS EASIER.
1. open firewall options to make silkroad not be block
a. control panel
b. windows fire wall
c. on the left panel click allow programs to run through windows firewall
b. if silkroad is not on the list click browse and select it and put a check mark in the box
2. go to computer , click C: , all programs , silkroad folder right click it and click run as admistrator
making vista run under xp service pack 2 compibilty totally doesnt work.
might work on beta but does not work on my RTM FINAL REALESE.
tis should get silkroad running on vista , i got vista home premium ATM.
i reccommend downling the neffy version of silkroad when ur download silkroad on vista

Another way to make silkroad work on vista , ^ follow those steps above.
then click start and go to control panel. click user account control. then on the bottem should say turn user account control off and on. U WANT TO TURN THAT OFF. that will make it even more chances of silkroad running on vista

i run my sro on vista ultimate ..but windows xp FPS lil better than vista that all...but i still stick wif vista i dunno y :s

y dont you just dual boot vista and XP like im doing so you can use XP until vista has all the bugs worked out of it?
