Being a good Samaritan

Hi, so I'm new to the board and yes this is my first post and I probably will get flame. But oh well, I'm just doing what's good for the good honest players out there on SRO. You see, I've been playing SRO for a couple months now. I had friends who keep rubbing it to my face how strong and better their character are. They started playing the same time as me, right now they in the 50-60 power level while I'm still in at level 35. I asked them how they get up their so quick. They told me they been using bot, leave their computer on all night. Well, I'm thinking wtf is that, I been hustling my a$$ off doing some crazy grinding. My left hand is numb and sore using the 1234 button to attack and these f**ckers get a good night sleep knowing their character is automatically level up. I"m furious and pissed off here. Then they got the nerve to talk sh1t how they kill my character, well obviously you dumb lazy sh1t.

Well, I'm here because I'm seeing people who work for SRO are here. I want to report these bot users and get them ban. It's not fair to me and other honest hard working players out there. So how do I report these bot users?

Hate to burst your bubble but no one who actually works for Joymax posts on this forum :(
As far as we know.....

Also I see people like that all the time but I just think - what the hell their choice - at least I can sleep comfortably at night knowing that I don't b0t :)

Chill out, ignore botters and enjoy the game

reporting them to get them banned is like a 3% chance of working.

if you know them in real life, go and buy some silk for them then chargeback :P 100 year ban for that. just make sure you use a credit card then is different from the one you use on your main account or it might bet banend too.

if they are internet friends, they might want to buy silk also. you never know

And it's easy to spot a bot user too. When your grinding, you see them stuck in a place and they keep getting attack by the monsters and they dont even do sh1t. I just stand there, PM him and no response, now if it's a real user, they can take the character out of that suck environment. Then you can also know if they bot user by how they keep on attacking and attack non-stop and go to the next enemie, User player after killing a monster, usually stop and pause, look around for monster in the area and go attack. SOmetimes if there's so many monsters around them, you dont have to stop, you can quickly go the next one. ANyways, I will get rid of these scums and do everything I can. I hate these cheaters.

Thats what I hated about sro at first. :/ I would see people same lvl as me one day, then grind my ass off and gain like 10 lvls. I would see the same person later 25+ lvls ahead of me. I was like wtf..."how is it possible to lvl that fast. Ive been grinding 8 hours a day". That's when I realized sro is a joke.

You basically have two choices if you wanna play sro, first choice sux and the second can bring you happiness. ;o

I don't really agree with this part. When I'm out grinding, I try my best to attack monster after monster without pausing between each one. While I'm attacking a monster, I am always rotating my view to find the next target BEFORE the current monster dies. Sometimes I'll even hit the next target with a ranged attack while I'm still fighting the first one. The only time I paus between kills is if there are no mobs within my sight range.

So I guess to other players, I might look like a bot according to your definition above. Why pause between kills when you can search for the next target DURING the current attack? :D

I'm saying when there's no monsters that are close around. I do the same thing too, rotate while i'm still fighting but when there's no monster around you, you tend to stand still and look around. WHIle bot user even if there's no monster around them, they still on the move. You just have to stand there and watch them, it's easy to tell a bot user and a real player. Another thing I notice too is when they first attack a monster and then you attack it after that and you quickly gets close to the monster first, they usually move on to the next one. WHile player are usually greedy and want to finish it off. This is not always the case though, sometimes when another got my monster, I move on to since it's an easy kill. But if it's a a Champion or a giant, player will stick with that monster.

If there's no other mob within my sight, I will run in some random direction as soon as I'm done fighting (sometimes after I pick up good drops). No need to stand around if I already scanned the area for mobs.
