Electric Shock Status...

I have heard from many that the Light imbue causes your parry ratio to drop when you have electric shock status on you. Does anyone know if this is true or not? when fighting things sometimes in that status it doesnt really change damage, othertimes it does...So i am confused.

I am a STR Glavie. Initially was fire like everyone else but thought about Light possibly. Splash Damage makes mobbing much much easier. Beside that, having your parry drop giving you more damage with attacks would outweigh the burn dmg every few seconds. And finally, Not many even know what electric shock does, so they do not bother with immunity to it unlike bunr or frost.

So, If you know what it does exactly, or would care to argue which would be more effective (Fire/Light) go for it. :)

as i understand it parry does not affect the max u can hit for...instead it increases the odds of hitting closer to your max if something has reduced parry.

Ex. i hit someone 4-6k with a light nuke...if they have shock reducing parry i will hit closer to 6k more often. Similarly if that person has parry on their equip and no shock reducing it i would be more likely to hit closer to the 4k. Parry is defensive and att rating is offensive and both contribute to determine where on your attack range u will hit.

So, someone with max AR, 100% mag atk would do a shitload of dmg with the lightningnuke and fireimbue? (Or vice versa, firenuke and lightningimbue)

Yes.

ok it doesnt exactly make you stronger, but lowers their dodge making you able to do more damage on them, so that basically makes you stronger against them.

Which is why its only really good for pve as most people are immune/will pill it almost right away, so you'll get 1 maybe 2 hits with their parry reduced.
