INT's will suffer from Mana Shield...?

have you guys wondered about a mana shield's drawback.
I mean if you want a balanced 90,90,90,30...
youd have to give up like 60 status reduce pts that you would get from a maxed fire shield.
so 90 cap int's wont have immunity and will get pwned by ice str..right?
quite possible ice bow
am i right or wrong?

i like this topic, im grinding sp now and stopped leveling to save up for this. i've seen s/s int's tanking two glaivers using mana shield while using light nukes in those KSRO vids, pls don't tell me their hybrids.

I'd sacrifice fire but not light.

Mana shiled is gonna give alot of benefit to light/ice ints. I thought about going hybrid light/ice spear, but sadly I don;t have the patience to grind up another char.

FIRE - thats where the fire shield is from.
LIGHT- int buffs boost magical damage and raise speed and raises parry ratio and whatnot..
COLD- mana shield.
cant wait til int nukes get canceled by waves of ice.

im going pur eint s/s icelightbicheon 30 pacheon nothing will change my mind, and who care about archer? they wont do crap even with ice.
no immunity= ice imbue best protection ever with mana shield + block+kd+ice phys buff
wont have any toruble with str char, I will wear garm for speed, mana and to protect against int since no mag buff from fire.
and who care about 60 status I'll pill away anyway with jewel

Yeah but did kSRO have it before? or was it not addded to begin with they would of removed it already dont you think?

So they removed it on Ksro

just have fun while playing the game

Light 90
Ice 90
S/S 90
basically when the 90 skills come out they will probably fix the ice immunity so fires not going to be a must have. (new ice nukes ftw and light)

GuruSikh wrote:Well ice is really important for int builds, idk about str builds. You can go 3 masteries (Weapon/Light/Ice) or have your weapon at 90 and put rest into ice, fire, and weapon if you want. Most builds I have seen from ksro ss, is...
Int builds:Pure Int/Hybrid [90 Bicheon/70 Ice, Fire, Light] *The last 3 can vary, just depends on your taste.
Pure Int/Hybrid [90 Heuksal/70 Ice, Fire, Light] *The last 3 can vary, just depends on your taste.
Pure Int [90 Heuksal, Light, & Ice]
Pure Int [90 Bicheon, Light, & Ice]
Str builds:Pure Str Glavie: [90 Fire & Heuksal, 60 Ice & Light]
Pure Str Glavie: [90 Light, Heuksal, Ice]
Pure Str Blade: [90 Fire & Bicheon, 60 Ice & Light]
Bow: Haven't seen many bow, but mostly pure str or int.
Light is a must need, unless you want to spend 100k per wind potion for 50% increase or 200k for 100% increase. Well thats the prices in ksro from the potion npc. Also you have to have 90 ice just to get the new ice nuke

.
I don't think they have changed it yet, but I have heard the future fire shield will only reduce a % instead of a # so you can't be 100% immune.

Im planing on 90 Bicheon 90 Lightining 90 Cold, as for the rest im still deciding beetween 30 fire and 30 heuk (for some ridiculous hp boost =p)

If they choose a wep mastery, yes they will have to give up fire if they want ice.
However, they can still get ~80% immunity, which is pretty good. And ice will only have a 5% chance of interrupting their nukes, while they'll have a TON of hp and do a ton of dmg, so, in other words, you'll have a LOT tougher time killing them than u do now.

Who said that Int will suffer? Is there a there any better build than pure Int tanker?

Is it a good idea to give up on bicheon, or any weap skills, and just go for 90-fire-light-ice?

no because that 90 mastery into your weapon is 90% increase in damage, which if I am not mistake goes for both magical and strenght type damage so if you go 90 into weap and 90 into to trees that means your nukes will have 90% more power from weapon 90 lvls, and 90% more added onto the imbue so thats 90% + 90% + imbue base power + nuke base power. Which is alot if my formula and carry over is correct

Holy hell. Thanks a lot. I was really planning to give up bicheon when the cap comes. I guess I'll have to say goodbye to my fire skills. :S

Not quite... the 90 extra bicheon masteries improve the power of your
bicheon skills by 90%. So if you had 20 Bicheon mastery and using lvl 1 KD, a lvl 90 mastery with the same lvl KD and same stats would do a fair bit more of dmg (190/120) than the lvl 20 skills counterpart.
On the other hand, the same kind of "1%" thing occurs for the forces too. Every 1 extra fire mastery you put, your fire imbue and fire nuke will gain 1% extra dmg. Same with light, same with cold.

That won't work well for PvP, IMHO...
Atleast not currently, at the 80 Cap.
TBH, I haven't seen much, or heard much about the Mana Shield, though... only what it does.

this new ice skill will increase the power of pure ints fire/light/ice without any weapon skills a lot, for the other builds it will be just an extra defense but wont be as crucial as it will be for int without weapon skills.
