So your not mindlessly grinding all alone for months and months.

Its good to have people around to talk to.

The only reason I'm in a guild is because if your not everyone just spams you to join theirs. Big guilds usually lead to arguments, fighting, everyone wanting to do something different, loads of people talking arse etc. I'm just in one with my friend, the only person I talk to in the game, it's nice and peaceful and we still have good fun too.

There is no mandatory gold donation to the guild.

For every SP you gain, your guild gains one GP, which grows the guild and eventually lets the GM buy mercenaries. The GP donation has no effect on your SP though.

You have the option of donating your SP to your guild in the form of GP. It's the little heart button on your guild page. Don't press it.

As for a guild in general, it is an easy way to make new friends and communicate with them. You'll be grinding during the same hours as a few other people and have fun talking with them.

It can also drive you crazy with that one guy always begging for gold or asking you to power-level him. Don't be that guy.

Chat chat chat. I was lvl from lvl38 to lvl47 without guild (don't know why :/ ) and it was boring. Chatting with guild m8's while grinding, makes this process not so...annoying and boring :)

And, guild wars, guild/union trades and many more :D
