Hi guys I'm new to the game and this forum, and wanted to say hi. I read alot of guids/builds so I decided to be a hybrid int 90%mag.
Does someone have tips for me to make it better or so ?

Also I wanted to ask, on what server should I go on ?
Many servers are crowded ( lol they all are ) so we have a little login in problem, but let's not make a big deal of it

Usually the newer ones are less crowded but seems like they are, well atleast not now...it's 22:41 in The Netherlands so servers are less crowded now..
so someone any tip on what server to go on ?

Hi Hybride!

Well, after playing a hybrid int char for over 1 year now I think I can give you at least some hints and tips.

Basically there are 2 types of int hybrids, spear or sword and shield.

Spear is doing more dmg therefor faster lvling while sword/shield gives you a significant boost in defense which can be essential when fighting higher lvl mobs, uniques or pvp 1vs2.

Both builds have proven to be quite strong and fun to play, the difficult part is to get the right balance. In general for sword/spear you should aim for a higher mag balance than for a spear build.

If you can't really decide which to chose, dual weapon might be an option as well meaning you take both sword and spear skills and just use the weapon that fits best in the current situation.
Takes some practice and some more sp but in my opinion it's lot's of fun to play.

As you can probably see, there is no best build cuz all got advantages and disadvantages therefor you should just go for the build that you think fits you best. Just go (if you havent already done so) through the first 2 or 3 pages of the characters and skills section of this forum and look out for hybrid int / spear / sword threads so you can make up your own opinion.

Regarding the question which server to chose... I can't help you with that one. Only have played on Babel and a bit on Sparta (lvl 19 xD) so not much experience there.

I hope that helped you a bit, if you got more questions just post them if you can't find the answer in the guides or tutorials.

And if you are going to make a Hybrid int. Best bet is to use a spear. This will make up for the damage lost by not being pure.
Really only pure int need to use sword and shield, but its not a set rule. They just need the extra protection, where as a hybrid spear in either.

Clothing wise i would recommend protector, but armor is good too, though you will be slow as heck. (I have a pure int with level 3 grass walk speed and i got over taken in a race by a guy with level 12 grass flow because i have armor and he has garment).

I DO NOT recommend garment. However cool it looks, from being int you already boost your magical defence and you will need phy defence.

One more thing, server wise. Having only spent time on Xian and Alps, i can't really help you but they are both good servers, though Xian seems to have more traffic.

I have only played on troy so cant really suggest a server

I am a pure int s/s and its pretty fun to play...with 9:1 int-str build u are close enough to pure that u can use s/s and still do good damage.

Since pure int does more dam and makes it faster to lvl u might want to be pure for the first while and add str later. If u choose to use spear u should prolly avoid garms just cause u will take alot of damage. s/s u can use garms, but prolly still better off in prot.
