so I just wanted to know what kind of thief is hated the most in SRO.
I think these are all the categories or at least the ones that I've met so far.

Theres also ice bow but they are quite rare.

I think the poll is rather unfair, all but 1 of them are NPCs, then you have the anti "Good, fair and decent player" added to the list.. It's like "pick a number between 1 and 3, but 1 and 3 arn't allowed" then betting that 2 will win.. It's obvious we all hate the assholes who 1 star pop.

I agree it doesn't make much sense that all of them are NPC except for the last option, which everyone knows that no one likes.

ohh well I thought the 1* poppers were just so rare (1 every 10 runs) that they can't be that annoying.
so without the 1* popper which one?

It's not that theyre more or less annoying or common, it's that you're comparing 7 similar things, and then one completely different thing.

1 star popping is very common, but it happens in short bursts in 3-4 areas. The thieves sit on the choke points (ferries and roads leading to them). They are places you rarely have to use (unless trading), because the monsters in that area are all around (except chakjis but they have a whole coast to themselvs). So you never see it happening.

At 6am GMT try going around the eastern ferry on Aege, follow the road from Jan tot he East ferry, to the homeland then to Don. I'd be willing to bet a mil that you'd see at least 1 popper and probably another or at least the left over bodies of said people.

Ice/Shield thief is bullshit

And often, when I see it, I'll move away from the transport so it attacks the transport first. This buys me some time.

Sometimes those things are so bad, your not done killing the first four before the next four spawn

Sword/Ice.... But also just Sword in general cuz of those damn shields... I cant stand it when I'm going up against a NPC and get my best attack blocked :banghead:... It took me close to 10 hits one time to kill a GREEN thief cuz he kept blocking everything, and I'm a str/glavie user... that doesnt happen, I can kill him with one good hit.. lol

Confused. Why would people stop doing 1 star trades? Because they hate poppers? So instead you expect them to subject themselves to open attack by player thieves? :?

I trade 2* from Don to Jang. I dont trade often but ocasionally.

Imma big gurl (ingame?) and shouldnt wear training wheels.

I havnt been robbed yet (knock on wood) but I know most of the thieves that are active during the time I play.

people big enough to kill Stacie are elsewhere?

ice sword/shield or blade/shield is my arch-nemesis. i win by doing big nuke dmg fast. blocks from shields allow them to pot away the first nuke while when the 2nd is blocked, so they're up too high by the 3rd to have it be lethal. ice interrupts my actions and causes me to misfire nukes, leaving my open to attacks #1 and once again allowing them to pot away my dmg #2. i usually try to kill these buggers 1st when they're npc... i usually try to avoid them when they're players :P

if Ice/blade gets so much recognition here... why didn't it win in the

People big enough are usually thieving friends. Unless your TE and rob / kill your own friends.

if Ice/blade gets so much recognition here

Short of starting another huge war that we already had about fire and ice, fighting and closing another thread, heres something to offer you.

The ice NPC seems to have a much, much higher freezing chance and block ratio than a normal player.

The problem is, when your defending 4 or 5 star loot, you get beat on by the other NPC's while you fight the ice. Also, sometimes a double spawn can mean 8-10 npcs.

Fighting an ice blader 1v1 is way different that a mass of NPC's. Especially if a lot of the NPC's are archers - you recieve a lot of direct attack and damage.

plus, every lightning arrow that hits you lowers your parry, making you take more dmg.

Hum... so ice/blade can be thought of... as being good when fightingin in a group :D

I'd also add, that this horrible lag gives the ice NPC a huge advantage.

I cant cast spells or click NPC because of lag.

Ice naturally cancels my spells as well.

Stacie down, gg no rm kk thx. Three times last week.

I am about this close '-' to breaking my keyboard in half.

(Then I'll have to buy another Dell soft touch for $10 from the outlet store.)

....Wait. Still have the one I bought my ex.

my girlfriend always tells me that my Dell is a piece of shit... lol... i guess it is,... but hey... it's MINE

so...

the NPC thieves have the following advantages:
-the imbues last forever
-the effects last longer and you get frozen etc. really easilly
-they get very high degree weapon weapons even though they are at a
-there shield blocking ratio is like 25
lower level than you...
wouldn't it be nice if every npc thief dropped the weapon they had so people would had tons of 8th degrees.

also what do you guys think is the best way to beat a shielded thief, I 'll
say combo because one or two of the attacks are bound to hit.

Ice sword/shield. You get blocked and you get frosbitten or frozen.

What means 1* popper?

What means 1* popper?

1* poppers are player thiefs who are usually very high lvl and lure their thief spawns onto one star traders because they can't attack the players themselves. generally bug abusers.
