are they telling me to uninstall SRO and reinstalling it?

They are telling people to not use anything but the original and most resent updated client.

Looks like everyone getting trojan shit and this with SP actually are botters. So GG.

same lol, and mine is updated and I ran the same program that caught the "trojan" and it detected nadda lol GG Bottz0rs!

Maybe you downloaded a 3rd party .pk2 file or you use softmod (just because someone uses softmod doesnt mean they bot) So donno dude.

I don't use any of those program, I am just a regular player, who doesn't buy silk and play to have fun. If I don't have time to play, then I don't play! ffs! I am Lv 42 and farming, the far I can go on 4 months playing

I belive you and I dont say you do something wrong .. But download the client again and reinstall /install again..
And yea see if you get any trojan from other antivirus first..if not so I belive is ok..

Back to Topic, this is what I did:

I re-installed the client, an old one that I had on my desktop.[Is this ok or I should download the 500mb client again?]

When the game is updating, at 9x% the antivirus detects the freaken trojan, and the update is damaged.

So I manually patched SRO, but they tell me that I need 1.62-1.64 version to patch the 1.65 one. [or something like that]

Argh!

ok let me get this straight........if i had the same client from yesterday before the update i could be infected with the trojen with the New update? If so than i uninstall the game and start fresh, yes?

I was playing this morning [After the update] but I got DC-ed a few times. So I readed In the SRO notices that the DC problem is caused due to the last patch and I needed to re-install the client. After that... the whole trojan problem. I made all I could. Now I am waiting for a solution from the game company J****x

this has happened before i think, when silkroad first came out we were discussing this in gwguru and we all scanned the program and 3 trojans came and we were all debating whether or not this will happen again because all of us had to format our computer again so yeah...

guess the nightmare has come once again!

anyway

finally, I am into the game. What I did is:

1 Uninstall the game [Not re-install].
2 Delete all files that still are into the Silkroad folder in the program files.
3 Install the game
4 wait for the update
5 No trojan anymore
6 play happy.
7 change pswrd for security.

my Antivir guard didnt detect anything
and i played already everythings fine to me.
