server inspection...

is there a server inspection going on atm? i cant get on but theres nothing on the official site. when i open sro i get server inspection message...got it since i woke up a few hours ago. i tried to reinstall but i still get server inspection message. can anyone tell me whats going on.

you need to do something with your hosts file.. (i dont know what exactly :P)

if my internet was messing i wouldnt be able to post this...do i have to change settings somewhere or smth? i totally cleaned up my comp yesterday so maybe i switched smth off that should be on or smth?

well, me neither. that's why i got a hard time telling you lol.

but go to My computer --> C: --> WINDOWS --> system32 --> drivers --> etc --> hosts (open with notepad)

and then just paste the silkroad ip in there.
i dont have that ip but just wait a while and someone will post it.

okay i tried that, but it didnt work, could you explain a bit more specific where to put the ip in the file? obviously i did smth wrong :\

also make sure there's no ###'s in the line you paste the ip.

this happened to me once and i couldnt solve it in my host files. turned out to be my isp not working well with sro.

but i'd guess its your firewall. did you reinstall your sro lately?

no, havent reinstalled sro lately. i did copy my original sro to my documents so i could install another sro, but that one doesnt work either.

no, havent reinstalled sro lately. i did copy my original sro to my documents so i could install another sro, but that one doesnt work either.

try to reinstall your sro and check your firewall settings.

ah it finally works, didnt knew i had 2 firewalls...1 of them was blocking sro. thnx for the help.

k, got a new problem now -.- i can press the Start button, but it wont load sro...i do get the little sro screen, you know, the picture that has the size of a signature. but it freezes there, any solutions for this?

I had the same problems as you. It froze on that window. I reinstalled sro and it worked after.
