SOS, SOM, SOSUN

i just wanted to know, why do these weapon cost so much? i know there rare but yet some of them do almost same damage as the normal one and it cost so much? can someone tell me whats the difference from a SOS,SOM,SOSUN to a normal weapon of the same type thanks for any help. cheers.

They cost so mutch because they are rare and do more damage then normal weapons.

sos is equal to +5
som is equal to +10
sosun is equal to +15

they dont do the same damage is a normal one of the same type.

lets say 24 sos glavie does 1k damage to hyongo ghost
lvl 24 normal glavie would only do 650 dmg (something like that)

of som or sun you can expect higher damage.

maybe you're seeing something like sos 24 glavie vs. lvl 29 glavie which look identical except the SOS has the pink/purple fog, then yes the damage will be closer together.

remember u can also + sos items and make it even stronger.
sos= around +5 normal weapon.

an sos is already as good as +5 (its actually better because of higher base reinforce) and then you can +5 that. Thats much easier than making a normal spear +10. and even then the +10 wont be as good since the reinforce is lower.

oh umm.. i get it now and one last thing what if its on a armor/helmet what benefit do i gain? more defence? thanks so much guys appreciated.

SUN = PWNAGE, i had 24 SUN spear, @ lvl 30 ( when i got my nukes ) , i could kill red scorpions f*cking easy
