IF sro becomes p2p...

which method of playing would you chose?
a) pay like WoW per month for $20ish
b) (i thought of) pay like a ticket for hours of playing so maybe 1 hour for $1ish?
Pros:
-alot less botters since they can't play 24/7 unless they pay that much but they lose money since their profits are less than the amount they sell for if powerleveling others
-most of you don't play 24/7 everyday so would be a waste of the other hours you paid for
-if you went on vaction, you don't lose any money that you already paid
Cons:
-expensive if you play alot (if you got no life

)
-you can dc when your payment suddenly runs out
overall, when you pay either way, sro will eventually be equal to WoW with alot of uncrowed servers (except market servers) and less botters and more updates and events

Simple fact is, it WONT go p2p. They make money via item mail, so they will keep it how it is.
most of you don't play 24/7 everyday so would be a waste of the other hours you paid for
Are u sure about that mate?? ALOT of people just afk stall an account.. and leave it on all the time *except server inspections*.

with more updates, there can be a auction house so no more or less stallers

Ok apparently you are all running on rampant speculation and read nothing of the thread that started this all. For those of you just joining us SRO is already pay to play. It is pay to play "by choice". You are free to buy gold ticket or not. They are simply proposing that those who purchase gold and silver tickets have access to special services and or servers. You are not gonna have to pay to connect and play. For those fo you that don't pay it is all much the same as it is now.

Its never going P2P it didnt last year and it wont this year or the next.
Unless u count the Gold ticket as P2P, item mall is here to stay.

1. Item mall is not p2p. Those are "extras" that you may or may not use.
2. If they implement what they are suggesting, it may turn into p2p because if enough ppl pay, there wont be room on the servers for non paying players or non paying players will be bumped for paying ones, which would make the game basically p2p. If it will take me twice as long as it does now to log in or I pay, then there is no other word for it, its p2p.
3. Anyone who spends money on this game the way it is at the moment is a fool. I dont tip for substandard service in a restraunt, Im certainly not going to pad the pockets of a company that cant update, control it's users, follow it's own ToS, provide GMs, provide security or even simple events. The game itself is OK, nice graphics, half decent game play. The service is so terrible it is a joke to even call it service. Buying something in the item mall is like tipping for self service.

Lol switch to a diff MMO or keep playing if it's a cheap rate. For SRO I'd say... $10 a month? Maybe? And include gt and monkey lol as automatic things. Yeah.
Not gonna happen though.

Dude, id pay 10 bucks for month to play this game but not 20, thats too much, and its stupid when ksro is free and its such a gd game.
So that wouldnt be fair at all, i cant chose any of ur choices since they seem to be quite stupid to me.
Im nopt trying to flame, im just speaking my mind.

In this case it is. Or rather it is what is being referred to when morningdew mentions P2P. Not my semantics. it is theirs. And it is redundant in relation to the quote you were responding to.

Actually if they implement what they are talking about all that would happen is that GT users would have a special server they could log in to grind on. And ultimatly would have no effect on the regular servers at all. As morningdew themself put it. It would more or less be there to assure gold ticket users that they can use their ticket time. The server would basically be there for quest and grind. No PVP or jobbing.

Not gonna argue with you on the service part. Just the part of calling people fools. Ultimatly it is quite possibly foolish to purchase any virtual expendable item. It does not really exist and in the end you really get nothing from it. Just a loss of real money. But it is all our choice for our entertainment. Some like myself still manage to stay legit and find enough fun in the game to make it worth it to me. Though as a paying customer I will keep prodding joymax to action as I can. Since as you said service is the one thing you don't get with this game yet.
The
original thread is here. Everyone take the time to read morningdew's replies. Most the other responses can be ignored as they are people over reacting in much the same way as here.

I wouldn't pay 1$ for this game. There are countless better p2p and f2p games.
