WTF did i just do >=o

i got a lvl 65 chest drop +1 and wanted to +3 it so i took off my 61+3 chest that i was wearing and tried out the new. so i went back to town got my prot elix and went on to try and +ing the dropped item. when instead i put the 61+3 in the alch slot and it failed :and now i can't get it it back to +3
stupidity at its best AARRGGHH
BUT i did get the 65 to +3 at least
..........i need sleep

i did this the other day with some 7d shoulders, took off my old ones to try out the new ones then used a prot elixir on the old ones and failed

+3 is EZmode, i was ballin with +5 stuff everywhere, no astrals or anything.
