Since TE isn't really playing sro anymore, I've given my account to a friend, as of an hour or so ago, if you see MrJoey in any server, it isn't me. He's looking for friends on Xian if anyone is interested in meeting/helping him out. Doesn't like forums, so I doubt he'll be coming here at all. He's got password, email, everything, so I wont even have access anymore, and I think its better for me anyways, now I can finally actually let go of the game itself.

Good for him, and I guess that's good for you to give up the game.

Xian EMPIRE is literally dead. Not sure how well the Persia one is doing. @Zypher, maybe after I see how the game TE is going to. Tried lotro beta, didn't like it much.

According to Fly, that is dead too as most people quit.

But TheEMPIRE on Xian lives... Just on a life support machine. It still has active members. Well, One.

That's exactly why I'm fearing the HUGE[/color] that Joymax is mentioning on their main site. I've seen what happened to Xian and Aege [although Aege is fairing much better than Xian], and I'm afraid to see the same happen to the other servers. Not many might remember, but back in the day, Troy had a huge Viet population. When vSRO came around and they were ip banned, the game was amazingly boring for a good 2 months. When you went jobbing, there was little oposition, when you went pvping, it was always the same people. If they ban even 50% of the high level botters, I see the same happening as back then. The server might recover again, but that also depends on how many people actually are willing to stick with the game as the server would go through such a depression... Initially, everybody will love it. I mean, common, you'll finally be able to actually grind Takla mobs [the Generals are even overbotted... I've spend 2 hours doing the 79 quest and am now sitting at 23 items as I pretty much have to hunt for a general around there], and you'll feel great as your build might actually be able to compete with all the missing sosun, but the boredom will settle in soon.

Yeah many people have quit... You know what would be cool... If u delete ur character ur character goes to some sort of cemetery in the game and u can visit there grave. Yeah im losing it huh?

That would actually be cool, lol.

They should also create a building, the hall of shame. And in it you see names written on the wall of botters banned.

If banning the bots kills the game sign me up. Personally I think this is a bit of hyperbole. Ok yeah clearing out 90% of the high lvls will leave those left behind like myself fairly unopposed. But if they maintain things the way they need to be. It will not be to long before more legts would start to take their place. In the end we could see a resurgance and renesance of the original server culture. Where most everyone knew what it was to obtain a lvl an respected that.

And to those that say xian is dead. Maybe the circles you run in got wiped out. Dunno if that says more about you than anyone else but whatever. It is hardly dead. Sure Hellz Angelz and theEmpire are basically gone. But it's not like my life revolved around them anyhow. I rarely have a hard time finding things to do. Say for instance the other night I overwhelemd and outsmarted a fully farmed "robo player" in "_Heaven_" guild around 8 lvl higher than myself. (I wonder if they will all go poof tomorrow. One can hope.) I laughed riotously as I faded from site with him cursing me unable to figure out how to get to me to attack me. lol I got them so mad they actually called pompom back to his PC to stop it from grinding and to try and come out and murder me. He could come close but no cigar. I had a wonderfull time at his expense. But I could stand to see him go. I am sure I could find legits to annoy just as much.

First it's OMG I QUIT BECAUSE JOYMAX NEVER BANNS BOTS ! ....

Then Joymax does ban the bots on Xian and Aege (and hopefully now on the other servers also) and it's OMG I QUIT BECAUSE JOYMAX BANNED THE BOTS ! ... and "its boring"?

The bots need to go ... they are stupid and ruin a good game. If someone is on a server that they think is dead ... it is probably because they are whining too much and no one wants to talk to them any more because all they do is whine about the "good old days".

Too bad there aren't more people with ping_lo's attitude around.

51 levels, blade, glaive, bow, been them all, never got one sos. He grinds one night, not only did he get my old char to 52 finally, but he also found this at penons...

The hierarchy/pecking order of the server will change drastically (if ban list holds to be the biggest, bestest pwnzor ever) for a few weeks. New players will rise to replace the missing ones. Hopefully if the solution is more than the average 'big bot roundup' this period will last a little longer.

Xian is indeed not dead, but has some flaws. 1) There's so many bots right now (gold farm, afk grinding and/or babysitting) that they far outnumber the real players. 2) Overcrowded server 3) rude players/no respect for community. Players get frustrated b/c they not only have trouble logging into the game, but once there they have to fight for their kills with bots AND deal with harassment from other players (we have got quite a few rude folks on the server). Who would want to keep playing a game that's supposed to be for enjoyment, just to have to endure all of these obstacles?

Hopefully JM will solve one or maybe two of those probs for us all soon.

Until then, if you are on Xian, and are legit....hang in there, and Holler if ya hear me.

wow i hate him -.-, i just saw him at penons 2mins ago and thought i'd post here haha xD, didn't wanna disturb his grind or give away my identity though ;]...he's doing some nice dmg with a bow though =o

He seriously has luck I never had, bought this bow for 3mil...



So jealous right now. He's getting all the luck I should have had for grinding 51 levels.

Hey Joey, glad to see you've taken it upon yourself to quit. It is certainly not because I want to see you go, but from the talk we had last night, it seemed appropriate and timely. Good Luck in wherever you may go. See you in GE. TE for life....

And unfortunately, Krais is right. TE is dead. I believe I was the last active TE member on Xian and I decided to move on. But, TE will live on through us and any game we choose to play.

PS: I will contact him ingame and see what I can do.
