I remember when I first installed sro, it took like 2 hours.
Now I'm trying to reinstall it so it doesn't mess up my ksro (Which took like 6 hours to download)
Look how fast it's downloading:
THAT'S what I call an improvement!

maybe at first everybody wanted to download it so
the servers were overloaded. now everybody has
it already so you are practically the only one downing
the file?

I started a LONG time ago though, the servers were only populated at my time.
Early december 2005.

I got 6.2 MB/sec at my college downloading the installer at night

so apparently they don't put a limit on download speeds like almost all other web servers do. Of course, this was all before I installed SRO directly onto my 4GB USB drive so I can just plug it in and play lolz

all the mirrors suck and require registration. Like the Filefront mirror Joymax gives on their site for example. They cap it at like 200 KBps. What a bunch of webserver noobs lol. Companies like that should really get with it. Anyway, if you find one with google, you could find one by anyone else who could have modified the hell out of the installer and you get some hacked version with a keylogger on it so I wouldn't recommend that
