I can play on my laptop, but I don,t I just used it for stalling. SRO doesn't require anything special to run. Most newer laptops should run it fine, as long as they don't have a very cheap intergrated graphics chipset.

T2500 2.0 ghz
2gb ram
7900GS

at stock speeds, i can run 1600x1200 on full settings (circle shadows) without any noticeable lag.

overclocked 7900gs @ 600/800 (which is equivalent to 7900gtx) can run it at 1920x1200 without lag.

edit: my friend's x1400 can run it at 1280x1024 without noticeable lag.

all these settings are max except shadows, which is set at circle

My labtop is:
1.5Ghz processor
1 G ram
integrated graphics card

I run SRO in full graphics (except bloom effect, I dont' like it)

and it still works fine, SRO require really low graphics, a decent one will do just fine, but I do recommend a big screen/monitor though, it makes your field of view much larger

he was asking about laptops...unless your core2 is in a laptop your reply is not helpful. not to mention if it is a laptop, you've got an awesome screen (1920x1200) is that even possible??

its actually not that thick cuz its widescreen so i have more surface area.

annnnnnnnnnnd i can run sro on vista, you just have to install the program into a different hard drive or whatever. I actually dont know what i did but i had two different OS names and one didnt work when i tried to install the game but the other one did.

My laptop is cra p so I run low graphics and set everything to minimum.

No reflection, no shadow, draw distance 1.

On my other laptop (The badass one) I run on optimal high graphics and it runs really fluidly.

I dunno why I always play on this one :S
