A sinister idea

Imagine if someone made a party where it was item autoshare, and then just left the party up for like 3 weeks, with a rock on "enter" so that anyone who wanted to join would.

Imagine by the end of the three weeks, you would have alot of items, and maybe even sos/som/sosun.

Imagine someone is lv 63, and kills their last mob and levels up, OMG! It's a sosun item! And it's a glaive, just what he needs!

He picks it up, and checks inventory to equip... It's not there! NOOOOO! The stupid party leader now has a free sosun lv 64 glaive.

This just popped into my head. Discuss.

Don't you have to be in the same area as them and physically pick up the item yourself? Because in autoshare, for exp share you split the exp if you are in the same area and for item share if it is someone else's drop from a kill then a party member can pick it up.

So you'd just be wasting your time.

Trace them! lol omg that would suck :P But the enter idea wouldn't work as when someone would log off without quiting the party you'd have to recreate the party. If i'm wrong please say so ^.^

Does this happens in Guilds and Unions too? Me and My cousin make a party of me and him only. He takes my gold :( But we combine our money, so it dont matter. Can you chance the opitions for a party? You know Item Distupute & Exp Share

If for some reason my fiance is on her character without a squirrel or bunny I make one of those autoshare parties also so mine can pick hers up and we share everything anyway that it doesn't matter.

In short yes it does happen, at least with us.

You'd have to follow them around to get the drops. Also, once the party is full, it is no longer on the party matching window. So when your members quit, you can no longer join people to the party.

haha, i've been having similar thoughts, except it's for exp autoshare. wish some bots would invite me to their autoshare party and i'd get free exp while tracing them :P

would that still be considered botting since im not doing anything and im gaining exp... :(

powerleveling

Wouldn't powerleveling be considered the same as botting? You're leveling up without actually doing anything. I guess in the case of power leveling, there's another player that's actually doing something to level you... unless you are tracing a bot.

All this stuff about trying to get free stuff off someone isn't going to work.

1. They will notice you follow them around to get exp.
2. Even if they let you get exp, the exp you get isn't going to be that good. You'd be better off grinding on your own.
3. If anyone in the item shared party gets a drop, everyone else in the party can see it.
4. Most of you that are thinking about this are probably not going to be trying to party with someone near your level. Odds are, the monsters are going to be way stronger than you. This means you will probably die trying follow people around.
5. Follow me around in a party  I'll have you filled up with arrows in no time. :D

LOL, that's how I lost my very 1st sos drop. It was on my 2nd character. Fighting white tigers right outside the eastern gate of bandit stronghold. I saw the box and ran over to get it all excited, and then I opened my inventory...not there. What??

So then I pull up the log over on the right, and there it is....

"cutting blade was distributed to blahblahblah"

My stoopity for not checking the party type. Wasn't gonna ask for the drop back, that's gay. But I did pm the guy and tell him that it would have been my 1st sos drop & I wanted to buy it off of him or offer him an equal/better sos blade in exchange for it.

His response: blahblahblah has left the party.

Oh well. You learn from your mistakes. But luckily the sos gods were good to my char and by L44 I found 10 total drops, so I've got nothing to be mad about.

Well... I was saying it's not going to work if you follow around experienced players. Go ahead and follow level 10 - 20s around. :D

Which reminds me... why do level 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s,... all rush for my drops at the archers? They will sit and wait for it be grab-able just to get some lvl 10 item.

No you wouldn't be botting..........just getting help from bots. If your 100% agianst bots then it would be hypocritical, but if your like 40 or something amd they're in taklamakan, then if you get some good XP i don't think you'd care about that bot much. But if you see another one, you visualize stabbing him/her in the throat,(Very violent I know)

1. well handgrinders and babysitters would notice...

2. So at lvl 44, the exp I'd get in a shared party from a lvl 80 character grinding on Naya Mages would be worse than the exp I'd get doing my own grinding on Ugijis? I would think I'd get more exp from the mages.

3. Well if those party members are following your target around too. :)

4. Well that's what rudolphs and x-large recovery kits are for. :)

5. Well you'll fill up clueless users who just spam auto grab on anything they see you drop

Exactly.
When I tried to powerlevel a lv 1 with my old lv30 char by killing lv 30 mobs(near chin tomb), the lv1 gained less exp than he would have got from a mangyang.

PS: don't grind on ujigis at lv 44 :banghead:

hmmm I'm not sure about that. I know one time we had a monster scroll party in our guild. Our guild master summoned high lvl mobs, killed them, and some low levels in the guild leveled up a bit quicker.

As for grinding ujigis at lvl 44, I seem to get about the same exp or better than I would grinding bunwangs (and less bots). I kill ujigis pretty easily too. There was a thread about that before I think.

powerleveling

Yup, not against the rules :D

My friend who was lv 30 went to look for isy for fun. When he got there, he was invited to a bot's autoshare party. He continued to trace him and never logged off, when he checked his computer 3 days later, he gained 3 levels and alot of items & gold.
It was lucky for him :D
