Who Gets the Unique Kill?

It keeps bothering my mind all the time im attacking a unique, whose name stands in the top if a unique is killed? I heard 3 therios until now:
1. The one who makes the last hit
2. The one who does the most damage
and
3. If all the ppl are in the same party it doesn't matter who does the most damage, the last hit gets the kill.
Now I want to know for sure how it works, then I got enough of hitting a unique in the face and don't get the kill.

Party with the most damage
and the person in the party who does the most damage gets the name kill
but if you person not in a party outdamages everyone elses party
he will get the kill

Well the problem is, we hunted Tiger Girl in a party, and she spawned right where were camping and we were THE ONLY ONES who where attacking her and I hit her for about 70% of her health, but some other guy in the party got the kill.
I don't get it

if you think the one who hit last then how come dead player still get the kill. Should be the most damage.

I saw videos of ppl getting the Lord Yarkan kill with lvl 66, i just don't get it.
But I'm pretty sure youre right about it.

In that vid, everyone else in the party dies or d/c, but they still are > other parties.

Party damage is added up, if that party gets more than any other party, or anyone soloing, then the person who did the most dmg in that party gets the kill.

yeap, it's gay, when u think ur gonna get the kill from soloing yarkan 5min or so in advance, then when yarkan dies & it's not ur name

ye its bs
i was in a party last nite im 69 farmed,and there was a 66 bow in the party not farmed... i was zerking her hitting for 35k+ crits i shud of got the kill piss easy and then he gets the kill? complete bullshit tbh i was well pissed off

You're so wrong it hurts.
It's the person who dealt the most damage out of the party who dealt the most damage. Imagine someone soloing as a 1-person party.

the last hit doesnt get the kill, im 100% sure because i killed lork yarkan 2-3 times lying on the ground

Um, your 69 fully farmed IE you shouldn't be going after isy anymore, I'm glad the other guy got the kill.

My friend died about3/4 through TG when server ALPS opened and he got kill still.
