My Experience As a Pure Int and Tips On How to Survive

So, i've created my first successful pure int char on troy...and i have some very interesting things to share with everyone who wants to make an int char.
an int char dies fast and kills fast, and in 2 hourse while i was playing today, i died a total of 9 times

on my blader on venice i probably wouldnt have even died 1 time. Everyone in my party was like 'there she goes again'.
but its not so bad if you think about it. since ints kill fast, we can always make up the exp lost in a pretty quick time. but dying is not a thing you'd want, so heres some tips that i figured out after dying 9 times in 2 hours:
1. Learn how to run. If you see there are many other mobs around the one ur killing, don't go for it, unless they are non-aggro mobs. Because once u start killing, sro wont let you run. You STAY STUCK IN THE SAME POSITION.
2. Set your auto pot to at least 60%+. This will decrease your chances in dying.
3. If you are getting mobbed badly and can't get away because sro wont let you move, then quickly click on another far away mob so that your char starts going toward that mob and hope for the best.
4. Keep a shield handy. It can save your ass in an emergency!
5.
Do not grind in areas with aggro red/orange mobs. If you must hunt red mobs, go somewhere where at least part of the monsters are non-aggro. This will save you from dying 9 times in 2 hrs like me (i was grinding on white tigers at lvl 16).
That's it. hope it helps whoever wants to make an int char. Learning to survive on an int char is very, very important (to me at least), unless you want to experience what i went through this evening.

I once made an int character to lvl21, but the only having 668 hp was starting to get too me. Therefor I made the next best thing, hybrid int spear. I got that one to lvl73 then quit

But I still miss the raining meteors....

I learned the hard way when I got to Mujigi & Ujigi.
And I'm not even pure int, i'm hybrid.

I'm pure int and I grind on aggro red mobs. I only die when jobbing or PVPing. I never use a shield. If I'm ever in trouble, I just phantom walk away. Sounds to me like you're just not very good at playing.

I'm level 42 and I grind on Mujigis and Ujigis. The trick is - are you ready - don't get killed. Seriously, I kill them before they can even hit me. It's not difficult.

@ threefingeredguy: yeah im not very good at playing, bcus ive never actually had an int char before. and this guide is for beginner ints. we cant just phantom walk away when we dont even have the skill.
as for killing them before they even hit you, you need a good weap for it. if you have a normal weapon, you cant manage to do that.

6. Grind on monsters that you can nuke+shout to get the most exp in the least amount of time.
7. Wear SOS armor to grind on orange/red mobs efficiently

I double nuke to kill red mobs and nuke+shock lion orange mobs.
I wear garments. Armor is for losers.

well the thing is, anyone under 30 dont have nukes, so this guide is on how to survive red/orange mobs w/o nukes.
also, armor is not nesscarily for losers. garms are good for magical mobs, but from what i've heard, armor is good for pvping and some str mobs.

You never said it was only for low levels. Plus I grinded on orange and red mobs since I started and I died maybe once a week.

Out of curiousity, what lvl did you get to and what's your IGN? I might be able to help ya a bit if you play on Troyan int char dies fast and kills fast, and in 2 hourse while i was playing today, i died a total of 9 times

on my blader on venice i probably wouldnt have even died 1 time. Everyone in my party was like 'there she goes again'.
What do you wear? Did you alchemize it all? Have you updated your jewelry recently? I played as a pure int spear from lvl 1 to 70 and I didn't have much of a problem with dying unless I lagged or got boned with zombie [didn't have autopot back then]but its not so bad if you think about it. since ints kill fast, we can always make up the exp lost in a pretty quick time. but dying is not a thing you'd want, so heres some tips that i figured out after dying 9 times in 2 hours:
That's the beauty of being pure int ^^. You level amazingly fast ^^1. Learn how to run. If you see there are many other mobs around the one ur killing, don't go for it, unless they are non-aggro mobs. Because once u start killing, sro wont let you run. You STAY STUCK IN THE SAME POSITION.
You can get away with ghost walk, but yeah, the lag makes it fairly difficult. If you get into a situation where you get mobbed, use vigors, any of the ghost spears and aoe nukes. ALWAYS try to kill the smaller mobs that attack you while you are busy with a giant, if they add up you'll be dead soon.2. Set your auto pot to at least 60%+. This will decrease your chances in dying.
Currently I grind with 70%. When you grind pure int mobs, you can probably do 50%. If you are grinding in say the cave, 80% is adviced.3. If you are getting mobbed badly and can't get away because sro wont let you move, then quickly click on another far away mob so that your char starts going toward that mob and hope for the best.
Zerk... Aoe attacks, Vigors, Equip a shield and run.4. Keep a shield handy. It can save your ass in an emergency!
Agreed^^. Fan Storm can be useful too depending on what you grind and wear.5.
Do not grind in areas with aggro red/orange mobs. If you must hunt red mobs, go somewhere where at least part of the monsters are non-aggro. This will save you from dying 9 times in 2 hrs like me (i was grinding on white tigers at lvl 16).
nuke + ghost spear series allows you to easily grind red mobs. If it lags too much, go white. That's it. hope it helps whoever wants to make an int char. Learning to survive on an int char is very, very important (to me at least), unless you want to experience what i went through this evening.

I played as a pure int spear from lvl 1 to 70 and I didn't have much of a problem with dying unless I lagged or got boned with zombie [didn't have autopot back then]i wear garms, i alchemized a little, got crappy jewelry. my equipment is mostly crap currently. its hard to start on a new server, even with all the help from friends.but its not so bad if you think about it. since ints kill fast, we can always make up the exp lost in a pretty quick time. but dying is not a thing you'd want, so heres some tips that i figured out after dying 9 times in 2 hours:

i used to set it at 55% cus i could tank lots on my blader. now i know better for ints.3. If you are getting mobbed badly and can't get away because sro wont let you move, then quickly click on another far away mob so that your char starts going toward that mob and hope for the best.

wear armor until 6-7th degree. Grind on mobs you can one nuke. Use 500 hp scrolls till lvl 30-ish. This will help you alot. Also, use bow until your lvl 30 and can start nuking. It'll save you alot of time.

i personally prefer spear of bow. bow is messy, and you have to restore arrows all the time, which takes up inventory space and gold. spear is clean and easy to use, no any other thing needed. i infact find that i lvl faster with spear. with spear you can also hit multipul mobs with one skill, which is very convenient.

which makes it more realistic but also very annoying
