i just started an int char, i'm using spear atm but i didn't lvl the spear/glavie skill tree
dunno if i should switch to sword & shield
sword & shield- def is needed because of the low hp
spear- better magical atk & the passive give u more hp
BUT....... almost evey pure int on the server is sword & shield
so i wanna make something defferent but i don't want it to be a loser
so can anyone help?

Pure int spear deals lots of dmgs, but dies too fast to be helpful. That is why most ppl who are pure int prefer s/s because of the defence from the shield.

Like ive said many times, pure int-->s/s, hybrid int -->spear

int hybrid spear.


every time you level up, put in 2 points into int and 1 point into str.

that 1 pt str gives you more hp, plus your passive gives you ++++ hp.

the 2 int pts gives you great damage.

i have one of these myself, only lost 1 pvp to a blader 3 lvls higher than me.

+1. Hybrid INT -> spear
Pure (or 90%+) INT -> S&S

i don't want to be hybird
so i have to switch to s/s

no, the whole point of being a pure int spear is to use NUKES = the highest damage ever xD

a HYBRID int spear uses soul spear and ghost spear and nukes, though a lot of the time the weapon attacks are stronger than the nukes for this build.

anyway its your fault for making your name nuke god or w/e. go full int or 90% int s/s. or go hybrid int and nuke with that (around the same damage but you have 1k more hp)

i'll just go on with the spear
it's strong & lvls fast & has more hp than pure int s/s

okay but i suggest you go hybrid with a spear.

but if i go pure int then my nuke will be stronge :S

yea but a hybrid int only has to do 2 moves to kill you.

you would also have to do 2 if not 3 moves.

2/3 nukes takes longer than 2 weapon moves (soul spear + ghost spear)

= you die.

not to mention youll have lower hp than the hybrid.

= you REALLY die.

..nvm go full int and have fun power nuking.

if i go s/s what skills in sword skill tree do i need to get?

since youre at that level already, all you will really need is knock down and stab and maybe illusion chain to play around with until lvl 30 (thats when you get your nukes)

also get castle shield, that will save your @$$

knockdown & stab + chains + castle shield + 3 nukes = LOTS OF SP FARMING

yea, well over 250k if not 300k sp.

you can easily do a full int spear nuker, just get good armor/protector and a good spear (good gear (sos) + good spear (sos)) = 1 hit kills and you don't get killed so soon. You can handle like 5 mobs of your own lvl because you kill so fast. Just make sure your eq has STR on it (And maybe +HP) INT on it is also a good idea since that gives you an ever stronger attack .

NOTE: This isn't a good PVP build but an EXTREME PVE build!

i know sp farming is the worst part. but once youre done with howver much sp you want and you close your gap you OWN SO BAD

& in job pvp i can sneak & attack >: )

i'll just go sword/shield

u all talk about a hynrid int spear or a pure int spear doin a realy high damage it all depends on ur weapon u sword may have a high mage attack them some spears so..


and i say go s/s the deffence of an 8th d shield is realy high and if u got lvl 60 ice lvl 7 ice guard and a lvl 6 passive u have good phys def hopefully wont die much


and u talk about beeing like every1 else if u want u can instead of ice have hauskal mastery for extra 1k hp but i say ice is better.

is it ok to 9 gap farm with s/s?

or you could do dual weps =)

Fire - Nukes + Passive + Buffs
Lightning - Nukes + Shout + Buffs + Passive
Heuksal - Ghost spear series + Soul spear series + Passive
Bicheon - Kd + Stabs + Castle shield + Passive (chains, sword dance: optional)

I used to be just pure int spear, but wanted to also pvp....sad to say pure int spears die quickly in pvp unless they have extremely good gear lol....so I went w/ s/s also kd + block = saves your butt

True i'm also a full int s/s and gotta say i 'pwn' in pvp ^^. (It's either me or them) Having a hard job nuking bladers though! That's why i just use weapon skills on them
