Hey, recently got a wolf at lvl20; my character is at lvl35. How would you go about fighting monsters at my character lvl with a wolf at a much lower lvl? The darn thing kept dying on me

; and it cost $50K to res it! Suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Keep the wolf from attacking, and kill shit that way till he can take a hit.

Put your wolf in defensive mode and kill like you normally do.

keep its attack off and fight mobs you can 1-shot, or at least kill before they get to you (and your wolf).
when the wolves came out, i was grinding power earth ghosts... small room + aggro mobs + wolf = need to pay CONSTANT attention. one shot and my poor wolf, who was 40 lvls lower, was gone. so i put transport pills in my mouse button hotkey and as soon as something came close to it, i spammed it. worked pretty well.

u are lvl 35 so u can kill black scorpians or blach yeoh, i have the same problem except i'm lvl 32 and my wolf is lvl 1. i got it to lvl 8 and now everhint kill is in one hit. make it defensive and grind on passive stuff

or as i said train it at penons till lvl 4x or so and then it wont take 1 hit to kill it even if ur in cave i think
but Monkey_guy if u cant do nither then the best thing u can do is have ur wolf on defensive

and kill mobs urself

sell your wolf, they are practically useless if they are dying all the time.
or i guess you could go train him on some hyeongcheons or something... i d k, all i know is i dont use either one of my wolves on either one of my chars anymore, and wolves are def useless in pvp.

like for the really low level wolves..i buy lots of wolves (-_- don't ask)...i just go to like chakji... i buy a bow and i one hit em..
the best way i find to level wolves is to go 5 to 6 levels higher than the wolf and kill those mobs. Its the quickest way to level your wolf if his level is much less than yours.

Alas, no; I'm on Tibet server. I've tried defensive mode, but picked the wrong mob. Flowers attack it even at defensive mode; going to try other non-aggressive monster like Black Robber follower and Black Yeowa. Thanks for your offer or scam

!
Also, thought the wolf is a good companion during the longggg grinds; or a bird. I posted elsewhere about the 'black hawk summon'; but i use a s/s, didn't get a reply from anyone about whether i could summon it using s/s.

Try the Black Yeowas there are patches of them with no other agro mobs around. Good luck.
Personally I train my wolf at small bunwangs / ujigis. He dies sometimes, but only when I'm really spacing out and close to a mujigi area.

don't let your wolf attack anything, and try to keep an eye on it at all times. non-aggro mobs work well, and don't do flowers <.<
or ask a close friend in their 2x's to train it! ;p

get a higher level guildie to help you with it. someone who doesn't have a wolf, or has a gap and thus his/her wolf has higher xp % than him.
and remember to tell him/her to stop when the wolf reach your level

I always just carry a stack of x-large transport recovery kits with me. If the wolf's HP gets too low, hit the quickslot button for the kit. Saves the wolf from dieing. Once my wolf got to my level, it was great. I'm a pure str blader, so I can tank good by myself, but my wolf has almost double the HP I have, so now I can tank while I'm afk getting something to drink
hmmm I'm thirsty, but I'm being attacked. *attacks 1 mob while wolf attacks another and goes afk*
