Whats Immortality do

i just got a +3 full blue sos 32 glaive for 8m and was wondering what immortality was... i heard it makes it so if u try to put a wep elixer in it it wont fail... is this tru... plz help me out cuz its immo 4 and id like a+7 SoS wep
