Whats about the server names > Explanation

Cant find anything from Aege, must be somthing like the age where they live in. Not sure

Comes form Babylon, More info

Athens
One of the citys of the Silk Road

Rome
If you see this Image you can see that aslow Rome was one of the citys from the Silk Road.

Red Sea
Above image you can alsow see On the left side, "Saudi-Araia" on the left side you can see "Red Sea". It was one of the water trade routes from Silk Road

Tibet
Says enough You can also see "Taklamakan desert"

Oasis
Oasis in Taklmakan There where more of them, second paragraph.

Venice
Marco Polo was one of the first new traders to China. He started at Venice

Eldorado
Cant find info on this one.

Greece
One of the countrys where the silk road passes. But has also the history of Sparta against the Persians.

Pacific
Dunno why they choose this server name. Someone?

Alexander
Must be one of the kings more info
Ofcourse, it was Alexander the Great that conquered the Persians.

Persia
One of the largest empires of the world. But i cant see any proof that this was in the time of Silk Road. The silk road has a long history and is not from xxx BC to xxx BC. But its spreads over a 3000 years. But it can be that the persians used this road to trafel goods between there citys. The lastest part of the silk road has been completed in 1994. See alsow wikipedia.

Sparta
Same as the Persians, same time much war. It was alsow one of the stop points of the trade routes.

As far as I know, the cities of Khotan (that's how it's spelled :) ) and Donwhang actually existed. No idea about Jangan though.

Doesn't really seem like you researched much.... Rather just mainly put stuff off the top of your head that mostly anyone already knew or could easily figure out.

The original name is Chang'an, I think Donwang is Dunhuang or something similar

True, i cant get a clear view about the story line. And what this "names" have in common with the story line. Im at school now, but when i'm home ill will do more research abotu the story line.

I made this topic because people think they just give names to server.

The citys:
Jangan = Chang'an, info
Downhang = aka Dunhuang info
Hotan = aka Khotan, info

Eldorado is the legend of a city where everything was made out of gold, and it was searched all over the world by the Europeans that believed on this myth. Other similar versions include Shangri-la and Xanadu.

Alexander is named after Alexander the great who had Alexandria named after him but they decided to name the server Alexander instead of Alexandria for some reason even though all the other servers are places (ex/Alexandria) and not people (ex/Alexander).

i think Xian was taken from one of the province's of china's name or something like that, and Aege is short form for Aegis/Aeges i'm pretty sure
