well, this thread is to let everyone who wants to play sro know about how many thieves/scammers there are in this game.

i have been robbed 2 times in the past month and a half by GUILD MEMBERS in my guild Fucckin_Classy.

the first time - i let a few people have guild storage ablity so we could share items, etc. i had about 30 million in elements, and another 20 million in itmems in guild storage that i would let anyone borrow and use the elements if they asked me. One day i came to guild storage to nothing there at all. Yup thats right, someone who had been in my guild a month, who i gave my trust, ..... me for over 50 mil in items and elements that i was SHARING with him.

the second time - a person who had been in my guild a long time, talked to me in ventrilo, seemed like a good person. I let him borrow my sos+3 level 32 bow so that he could level fast. (since i talked to him in ventrilo and all that, i figured he was trustworthy) After that he didnt log on for like 2 weeks straight, and a few days ago i see that he is no longer in the guild. So there goes another person ..... me over for a measly 32 sos bow. after being in my guild for a long time and gaining my trust.

now i am not sharing anymore items with anyone, the game is full of stupid ..... children and retarded scamming ...... and i am fed up with it.

i am done being a nice sharing person who will help you with stuff, now i am the rich greedy bastard who wont share.

this is just a warning. TRUST NO ONE in sro, unless you know them in real life, (or they are RuYi ) . Unless you feel like getting scammed.

sro's community is shit.

Learned that when I was scammed out of a wolf. I joined the game with a couple of longtime friends who have since quit, real friends I could trust. Since they left, I have only a small number (count: 2) that I SERIOUSLY trust that much, only 1 other I would loan small sums to (< 1mil). Other than that, I trust no one in this game, no matter how nice they are. Yes, I'm a greedy bastard now, and I am not ashamed because that is the only way to stay ahead in this game. Full of liars and thieves, as you said.

Is good warning but is Not complet true .I can TRUST some ppl in sro even if i dont dont meet them in real life..But yea be carefull ..

people i trust are bizzle, heavenblaze, tallrik, eveningstar, krat, davids and a few others i trust them with my char so i cnt really put a sum on that though i just thought what to do with my chars now i quit how much in £££ do ebay chars sell for

If someone's so generous he gives you stuff, or let you borrow something, it's s sign of trust. I can't believe that there are people who don't think about that and steal other people's stuff anyways. In game or in real life, it's just so wrong.

What surprises me even more is that you talked on vent and he still steals your stuff. Things are really messed in this world.

Why would you let someone else play on your char? There is NO ONE I trust for that. That is just asking to be "hacked". Security wise, it is the worst possible thing due to social engineering. Say you trust a certain person, and let them play your account. That person IS trustworthy, but say they have another friend who you don't know but THEY trust a lot. So they share the info with them, or let it slip out in conversation. That person might not do anything either, but they know the info, and in turn tell someone THEY trust, or maybe they just have bad judgment, and BAM you are "hacked" by someone you've never heard of, and didn't directly give your info to. The fewer people that know the info (this means ONLY YOU) the less of the chance it will be obtained by some immoral person.

Just because you got friends that for some reason don't care about their friendship with you the SRO community sux? i think its just you with your " friends"

You aren't alone in this. Though I still go out and do things, I just keep in mind this very thing.

this has happend to me with letting people use guild storage they stole stuff. So I no longer let people use it. Ya have to be careful
Although I do not agree the whole sro community sucks but there are a lot of scammers out there

Luckily I came from another game with my friends, so we all know each other it's been a long time on my guild. Still, there are a good lot of people which I could trust with some money or special item.

Yah it is pretty lame that people will do that and then people don't trust honest people like me it kinda ruins the game

I only trust people in my guild that i actually know in real life and see on a daily basis. As far as the guy who f*cked you over for an sos item...its a good thing he showed his true colors before you lost a manly amount of gold. Like say letting him use yoru sun bow for farming....

You must be very unlucky then. A lot of people in my Vent have my account login information, and my account hasn't been striped yet... even though I'm covered with SoSuns and the strongest person in Greece. There are times, however, when they decided to screw with me and put all my gears into my monkey and put the monkey into the storage to give a false impression that I was striped when I get on the character selection screen

lol i've had that happend to me with some of my friends i was freaking out

Oh but on the note of the don't put anything good in the guild storage....
I was in a guild called LionHeart it was the best guild i've ever been in although only 7 people were active

We had a guild storage and made a rule that you can take stuff out but you have to put it back when your done it worked great cause i was a low lvl at the time there was like lvl 1-45 stuff in there with +'s so if you think the guild storage idea is a bad on don't it's a great way to make a great guild

got to agry with u there PsYch, my friend used to paly silk and now is on wow and he compaired the too games in every asspect and he says wow 100% better then silk :\
