phy/mag damage % inscrease. How it exactly works?

So, how these 2 buffs work?
1. They increase the initial power showing in character window (C)
or
2. They increase the damage output (when the enemy's defense involves)

Yo they work on a way, you easyli notice.
Every items attak stats have a range to 0-100%, wich equalst to +1-2-3 enhanced status.
Example:
I had a bow with +91% mag attack, and +3ad it. My bow was equal then to a +6 bow ^^ (in mag attack)
And yes, they do both of your questions.

it doesn't seem to increase the dmg in (C) because the stats don't change when you use the buffs so answer 2.
o shit imageshack deleted my spiritpower sig i ll have to upload it again... lol
