I think silkroad is about to change...

Well, the GM's have been on all the servers the past few days, is that a sign? Are they finally gonna be working on a legit/safe/good silkroad? Finally giving the legits what they have been waiting for for so long?

Not to mention JM recruited 2 new GM's a while ago, they are probably working as well now cause a few weeks ago in the client's notices it first said "We would like to sorry about" then it got changed to "We would like to apollagize" then it finally was spelled right and it said "We would like to apologize for..."

Ladyasiana was on all the servers yesterday and the day before.

Also they are temp banning people since a little while ago.
5 Day bans for spamming, 10 day bans for gold trading.

Now let's just hope the bot ban list shows this as well when it comes out soon.

This is good... I hope silkroad is about to change...

Discuss! :D

EDIT: Keep this topic clean please...

They need alot more GMs on daily, not just ladyasiana.

Maybe the recent appearances of GM Ladyasiana is JM's way of "getting more involved" .. whether her appearances will actually improve anything, only time will tell. I do wish her luck and hope she remains an active part of the community as well as an activist in trying to better the community.

I for one don't think they will do anything on the massive and permanant basis that they need to. They will most probabaly release a mediums size ban list (mostly gold bots) then ignore the state of the game for the next few months.

This has been JMs' way for the past year, old dogs do not learn new tricks.

i think they should midify the procedures to investigate bots, since the current procedures don't seem to be effective and recruit a programmer to make bot detections program(s).
i wonder if GM[hanpooh]still work for JM btw

No (says a SRO player for over a year who has given up on JM after waiting for botters to be banned despite not even seeing the botters who he personally emailed names directly to a GM)

Opinions, yes, Weak "No"'s, no. It's obvious they dont want any change?

That would be a good idea.. but that takes time..
I'd prefer a decent banlist first tho :)

I play SRO since the start, since the very first day, and im not giving up on anything, simple because i love the game. If i wouldn't have liked it so much i would be lvl 70 on WoW by now... Not planning on quiting any time soon either. I reported over 1000 bots through my time in SRO, only a few got banned.

Unless they've been lying, it all boils down the the big shots in Korea's approval on each and every ban.

So it doesn't matter if they have 5000 GM's. If they have the same big guys who don't approve of the banning, nothing more will be going on.

Now of course if they've been lying to save their asses, all I can say is

They would need alot more than 1 GM in-game to cover all the areas where there are bots, which is pretty much the whole servers cept us few legit players. But if they could get a GM or 2 in-game that would be a start

the banning procedure is so stupid.

it takes them 3GMs to investigate then the 4th to ban.

with this big infestation of bots that procedure is nulled.

they need to give enough trust to 1 GM to ban the appropriate people. but i do understand though, they dont want any GM getting power hungry and banning anyone he or she pleases.

So a 2nd choice is to get off there asses and find a patch to permanatly patch bots.

this is a harder way but its been a year, the programming experts shouldve found a way by now.

i have hope. and patience.
that is all we can do now, have faith and be patient :)

Okay, then we have supposedly played for the same amount of time.
But seriously, after all this, after everything JewMax has done, after every screwup and after you've seen they've done nothing... how can you still have trust in them?

If you truely have played that long then you should remember that there has been more of these 'GM-showup-times'. When Crayon and co visited servers daily etc. Yet it has improved nothing, eh?

Joymax thrives on money.. so if everyone still buys silk when jm doesnt lift a finger why should they put extra effort into improving the game? If everyone would stop global spamming, buying gts, monkeys for 2 months joy max would get the hint, but no one will why? because people in online games are selfish

Theres my opinion ^^

I try to keep being optimistic. I enjoy playing Silkroad on a way bots don't cause much harm other than in-game economy. However, seeing that some guilds on your own union have botter members... Makes you sad.

Hopefully Joymax is going to do something. If they banned most bots, they could free up space worth many servers.

if they ban the bots it wont solve anything. they would just return with new names.

they need to find a way to patch the bots. thats the only perm solution.

I think the GM activity yesterday offered at least a sliver of hope that things will get better. Considering how they got mobbed anyplace they showed up I hope they have secret low level characters also in order to get the work done.

If I was a GM looking for bots I would pick a stupid name like "ddsflt" and a be a full str glavie in armor that self heals OR for the higher levels be a nuker in garments with shield and sword. And just run around, blend in, look, and read the chat ... or lack of chat.

And I have to agree with Twysta that the most depressing thing on these forums has to be the senior members and their constant negative posts.

And on a bright note ... the bots I reported did get banned and I haven't seen them since. Yes I know that they were only low levels (but so am I) and not famous.

*Dreams of a SRO where all the old members that are so bitter and angry have found a new utopia and pass on to the legendary status they deserve ... and the botters have all died of boredom ...* Just think how fun SRO could be then!

Sorry, that's what i meant. I doesn't even have to be ALL the bots, 90% of them will do. :)

It's already great they got rid of most of the CCFing, which was the second-greatest problem.

Twysta, look at the Farking game and open your eyes. What has joymax done for the common legit person? Oh yay, they put level restrictions on astral, something that was WAY overdue, big deal. Oh noes, they're giving temp bans on adverts and stuff, big deal, they already have enough business from going months and months with no warning, no bans. Has Joymax truly done anything for the legit player, no. What they've done recently, is not near enough. The day that every bot on a botlist is actually banned, and all the previous ones are banned, then I'll change my mind and actually think joymax is doing something. Till then, this game is a piece of shit in both the community, and the customer service. Silkroad has a lot of potential, but as long as Joymax is as lax as they have been, it will be a piece of shit game.

Dont cheer too fast

I personally am waiting for the server stats of rev6
human and player relation on each server

i guess it will be shocking and if joymax decides to ban then bye bye Silkroad, or it end like ksro.

They're mods, not gods. They have opinions same as the rest of us, and they can voice them.

As for hellsharpt, you don't have to participate in the game that the forum is for, to be a mod. That's not what a mod is for, a mod is there to make sure the forum rules are upheld.

It is a pity the office in san fransisco haven't brought joymax closer to us players more then what atleast I was hoping. But if something will happen, it should be noticed in the near future. They have hired new GM's who hopefully are done with their so called training. Rev6 team are putting pressure on them from what they are doing and the bucket of legit players who are tired of their lack of commitment will tip over any day. Guess we can only hope joymax is aware of their situation and finally take proper action to solve it.

If not. Pity joymax.

Hello. This is Silk Road.

We have decided that banning bots require too much paid employee, paperwork, effort and resources. Banning bot also provide us less silk income.

This is being removed from silkroad terms and conditions.

Many sorry for fake lists previous to this decision.

You are now allowed to bot.

Happy journey on the Silk Road.
