Might not be the last, depends. Work it out.

If your acccount is banned for "illegal program use" and the only response from Morningdew is, we do not have to provide proof or have to re investigate, do you consider this to be an appropriate resolution?

This account was banned on the 30th of January 2007 for this reason.

Why then, if this is incorrect, will JM not entertain the thought that maybe they were wrong.

Others that have had accounts banned have also raised questions as to why.
Some accounts banned where,
Mule Accounts
Accounts not used for several weeks/months.
Accounts for posting on Forums.
etc.

I'm not suggesting all were blameless, far from it considering some of the posts i've seen.

I am saying if an account is genuinely not using illegal programs, why then won't they entertain the idea, that maybe an error has been made.

I see posts from others here who are, honourable enough to state, can't remember doing those particular things, but have accepted the penalty, to others that openly flaunt getting away with something but possibly are guilty of more serious things.

And a honest player who doesn't buy silk, gets banned.

I can't work it out.

My char was banned due to Gold Buyng.. wich i never did.. but hey this time Joymax did the right think and unbanned, aldo probably to live my life to the fullest it should have stayed banned :/

well

if you get banned it your fault then. go onto the offical SRO website

http://www.silkroadonline.net and see the section relating to bannale offensive
oh and if your account is idle for 5 to 6 months with no silk in it, JM
delete it.

My account was banned for "Illegal program use" because i wasn't online for 1month+ , funny is, that it was banned 1 day before i wanted to log on after like 1 month i was online the last time.
I tried to work things out on sro.net forums the only thing morningdew replied is something that they dont have to prove anything because if u were banned for illegal programs they check several times before banning you.
He never answered why im not on the banlist or why was the account banned when it was offline...
I SWALLOWED IT and moved to another server

I know someone who was banned. Never bought silk either, and was banned for illegal program use. His name is not in the banlist also. Wonder wtf they are thinking?

I don't expect to get my account unbanned. Although it would be nice.
I'm highlighting the fact that JM have buggered up big time in this case and have not got the gumption to admit their in error.

they dont show evidence because of the rigourous procedure it takes to actually Ban a person..

3 Gm's investigate. 4th one bans..


this is a bad system, something may be lost in translation. they need to give more power to the GM's and more confidence and trust. after all they do get payed. the probably signed a contract and probably can get sued for misusing there power.

Have you heard of Gm ladyasiana and the iSRO staff?


They said they ban people as well as the kSRO staff, they work together with them.

And you do know that not everyone banned for botting is on the bot list right?

I would love to know your in game name, server, and the level u were before being banned.

It's possible they made a mistake but why? They don't ban randomly. Hell ppl complain they hardly ban.

If your name is weird maybe they messed up the i's and L's or maybe u were afk or dced when they talked to u ingame.

I see u challenging them, but u are not saying why their wrong?

Let us know and we can help otherwise I can't take a side, urs or theirs.

And don't be mad because their actually banning ppl now for going against their ToS .

Problem is i never botted or used any other aids to assist me in levelling.
Including those so called power levellers.
Hence why i am a bit riled at the faceles people that made a decision based on god knows what.

I have never bought silk as JM has great problems with there payment reconciling.
Nor will i allow my sons to, who also play this game.

As for a GM pming me i do not recall any doing this. That is not to say they haven't. There could be a very simple explanation for any reason that they have used for banning based on that.

Look i'm no adolescent, i'm 47years old. At my age if i'm accussed of something regardless if it's a game or real life i would expect the common curtesy of how this was arrived at with the expectation of being able to offer an explanation.
I would consider this fair and not unreasonable.

I haven't left the game yet, but if they don't do something about the "illegal program use" especially on Pacific, then i might just try to get to lvl42 and give it away as a lost cause. That's if they don't cpme up with there previous bs.

I've heard of the GM's mentioned never seen them probably never will.

JM will not supply any information as to why i was banned as they reckon they do not have to, and that's in an Email from Morningdew.

So the indication is, from my point of view, if i had bought silk my account would be unbanned. Don't buy Silk ban stays.

A Nice and simple policy from there point of view.

i do understand though. atleast runescape gives you some sort of information on why your banned.

like if your banned for cussing.

they give you the screenshot of you cussing.

its very very good system they have. in here.... they ban you. you ask for an explanation they basically say

"you shoulda bought silk"

and thats the end.

Ppl are just upset with JM odd ways of handling things. I admit they really work behind the curtains and if I ever got banned the same way I'd go back to WoW or CS in an instant.

I really don't know what to say if ur telling the truth, if u are then either ur leaving something out or JM made a mistake.

Just understand they didnt pick on u because u didnt buy silk, thats really stupid.

The answer is easy, Maybe.

For Real:
The solution is very simple, you play the game, but don't make any profit for Joymax. So they simply ban you, cuz you take up the space for the paying customers.
