hybrids ftw. 1:1, 2:1, 3:2, they all have strengths and weaknesses, but all are proving to be some of the most interesting builds in the game.

Well, he is doing 83:83 balance that is different from a 1:1 hibrid (closer to 1:2 int than an 1:1). That I supossed is that SOS blade has really good stats to prefer the blade to a good 56+5 sword (looking all your sos I think that you can pay for it

), considering all your nukes on your skill tab.

PD: next time pot before take the screen so people will not realize that spiders harm you so much

1:1 Hybrid would be okay in PvM, Although 1:2 Hybrids wil beat you because they have higher damage. People go 1:2 or 1:3 because they want to retain the high dmg, and have enough HP/Def to tank.

So whats your 1:1 for?

This reason this guy have up to 83:83 is because of the blue bonuses. ~+10-15 STR/INT on his gears combined would easily give him this balance. If you have 1:2 Then you have close to 90% Mag Balance and ~100% when alchemied

I don't think that 1:2 can get 100% mag balance. I am approximately 1:6 and with 55/62 possible int on my equipment (Gold Dragon Flag included) I only have 102% mag balance.

Personally best build for me is:

83% - 90% Mag Balance naked with full blue gear it will bring you up to 100%+ mag balance and still give you quite a bit of a STR bonus

Now you can do nukes with maybe 1k lower damage but have like 3k more HP.

Oh and for this build you can go either sword or spear, even though I do recommend spear to make up for the loss of damage and to gain extra 1k HP.

ok first off my low hp is cause my auto pots are on like 20%, 2nd off i pwn in pvp my lvl and more. There is 64's that cannot kill me. So i guess i better get some more screen shots or maybe fraps. My nukes do as much or more as a pure int with a lvl 52 sos sword but i only really use nukes for grinding cause in pvp i am physical. You find a pure str on troy my lvl who can beat me i will pay em 1 million gold(high lvl's deleveled need not apply)

and your nukes can impossible do as much as a pure int... first off you say you should do more dmg whit no weapon for a sword > blade in mag attack

he said sos sword. But anyways I am curious who you are off troy first off, noticed all the HB recruitment Globals in chat. Second, any Hybrid can be strong, as SG said each has Pros and Cons. Besides its boring just Pure INT/STR, makes it more interesting. On Troy my first character is a Hybrid INT. When naked i forgot what it was like 83% Mag 76% Phys or something. Thanks to a lot of Q&A with SG while building it though, I managed to make it a pretty effective character. With good gear on, I was pvping people much higher then me, tanking them and depending on just how high I could kill them. It was a weird build, or a weird result of a lot of inexperience, but I miss that character a lot. Was so much fun to play. Hybrids are too underrated. They really can be awesome.

His crits might do less than a pure str, but his normal attacks will do more than a pure str.

I don't understand these 1:2 ratios vs the balance %, it doesn't make a lot of sense. If you have a 1:2 ratio, wouldn't your phys % be half of your mag %? What exactly does balance mean, and what does the ratio refer to?

I'm also a hybrid, and my MP is almost double my HP at lvl 30. Is this what the ratio is referring to? I just want to understand how this is calculated, so I can follow what my balances should be, where to put my stat points, etc.
