w3gan nice sarcasm there.

It's about prices. If you are overpriced then you won't sell. Also I'm not sure how long you've been trying. An hour is nothing, a few days, you might have a problem.

Also check your location. SOS sells better in areas that people look to find SOS items. Every town has them.

Lvl 18 shield for 340k? Call me a noob but there's no way it is worth that, least on RedSea. +3 or not.

LVL 18 shield base price = 4462. +3 sell price ~= 50k depending on BR. I have a two lvl 18 shields, one is int and str +1, BR 11, I'm having a tough time selling at 15k. Other one only has BR 18 and I've had offers as high as 75k, but there's no way you can ask for 340k. I think you need to check your prices a bit.

OTOH, if you can get 300k for a lvl 18 +3 shield, then I need some cheap elixers and plus this BR 18 out ASAP. I'm thinking you are overcharging, though.

What is the BR on it? If it is decent you might be able to eek out some gold on the deal, not a whole lot but still some.

Again, maybe I undercharge for things, but I have the easiest time selling things when I follow the handy calc program found on this site, most of the time at least. There's a few times you want to bump it up due to rarity and such, but again I have no problems selling stuff.

What is the Block Ratio on that shield, maybe we can help you adjust your prices a bit.

Yeah those tricks usually don't work for me. The weapon/shield showing trick might draw some traffic, but they don't buy much. I've even put my stall on a thief transport. When I do that, people just come into my stall asking how I did that, but they don't buy more that way.

Sometimes I luck out, sometimes I don't. I guess next I'll try using all my buffs, harmony therapy, fire shield, zerk, set my stall on fire (did they fix that bug?) AND put the stall on a transport (in thief suit). Maybe that would draw attention :-D

Well, at least with this shield I would just say set it at 75k and see if it sells from there, give it a day and lower the price in 5k increments until it does finally go. I really don't think you'll get much more than 50k, but if it comes down to it you'll at least get your money back out of the deal, yes?

the only reason you dont sell is if your stuff is too expensive, or if there arent any people looking for your stuff...

but in your case you are WAY overpriced, no wonder no one is buying that crap.

in my case, i have nice ass items that i wont sell for any lower, and i just gotta wait it out.

It should be worth more than 50k. Shield elixirs on venice can sell for 50k each. Let's say you price shield elixirs at 40k. If you try to +3 a shield, you need at LEAST 3 elixirs (more for failures). So base price 4462 (I usually double that to start) so start about 9k. add 40k*3 = 9k + 120k = 129k. So you should be able to sell the shield for 130k. I mean why not? If you just bought an NPC shield and try to +3 it, it could easily cost you quite a bit more than 130k total. It probably won't ever cost less than that.

If no one is looking at your stall, come up with a nice stall name.
Use your imagination/randomness. :D It always works for me.

If no one is buying your stuff, start wondering if you're maybe too expensive.
For elements and elixirs you can look around a bit so you get an idea of the prices. For armor and weapons and stuff, just lower the price bit by bit. :)

I understand your logic here, but that is also the reason they say it isn't cost effective to use an elixer on low level items. I wouldn't buy that shield for more than 50k, not with a BR of 12. Look at it this way: LVL 18+3 == LVL 21 shield. A lvl 21 shield is worth, well I don't have that in front of me, but I believe it is around 15-20k. Granted, you get to add a bit for the "glow" but honestly there's no way I'd pay that much for a shield that wasn't going to do more than a lvl 21 shield except look good.

I have a stall running trying to sell a lvl 26 shield +1 BR 17, for 80k. It hasn't sold. Base price on those is 15k, so 15k*3 (for the +1) plus a bit extra for the BR 17 I put at 80k, and it looks like I'm going to have to lower the price to sell it.

As a fairly newb here, I will way in and say cut your prices in half and try that. Unless you really feel you have to get a certain price as PsYch says, then go ahead and get rid of it, go grinding and find more stuff and sell that. Stalling to me can get frustrating so my rule of thumb is a page from Prom's book. I look at the NPC price double it and then look at the blues, crit, br, etc.

Example: I found a decent iron bow (+1), NPC was 16k and change so I doubled it to 32, now wep elix can sell from 180k-250k so I am not going to add that price but I use common since, realize where I am selling it (how many buyers in and around that level), what I have seen it sell for in other stalls and set the price.....so now I have $32K in mind but have a few nice % and 2 regular blues so I make it $50k (too little? maybe) but I sell it within the hour and I am done with it.

I also usually attempt to sell an item only twice in stall sessions (unless it is really a nice item such as SOS) and halfway through the second stall session, I might lower the price a few $k but if it don't sell, I aint putting it back in storage, I grab some void and break that puppy down into elements and either use or sell them. I do try to stall 3-4 hours each time before calling it quits.
