More GMs

Post by [SD]Kratos »

I realised we dont know much about GMs....Well we know there are atleast 3 because cuchulain met them at GNG. We know they are male (both if i'm right). We know crayon likes quotes and funny sentences when he logs on....Well....:O

So first, i remember some times ago i was on ksro webpage and there were some sort of GM blog (not sure, it was korean -.-). I think it would be good idea if every week GM would post a story or something...just so we know a bit of them and they would look more human.

Also, I don't think there are enough GMs...like Twysta said in his post on official forums, people would become a GM for FREE, and im sure some korean players would. I mean it is understandable that they want people they can know, in real life, not just a name on a screen...

I guess 3/4 more GMs would be nice...And in different timezone...Well maybe it is too late...

well, to be honest yes... look at what happens EVERY SINGLE TIME joymax tries to do ANYTHING...

just let them restart the servers every week until we get a competent company to take over the game (or we just continue to suffer)

If more of them means they will do something about anything that goes on in the game, then sure. if it means adding another couple to not give a shit, then no.

There are 2 new GM's in training, that's what morningdew told me in my topic a few months ago. About hiring employee's.

And acually i was just about to make a topic about it. Because those 2 new GM's are now working. How do i know?

The notice on the client startup first said "We like to sorry to XIAN players.."

Then it said "We would like to apollogize" and finally "apologize".

JM's previous GM's never spelled that wrong. :)

I dont want new Gms I just want active Gms if that means new ones then get new ones but for gods sake there isnt any point in hiring them if they arent going to be visible to the community.

Yeah if they would just be active on the servers within 10 minutes they could clean an area of roBots.

the gms who work at US office can't ban bots. they just report them to the koreans ( everyday ). morningdew isn't GM[Crayon], GM[Pizza] etc. md is joymax employees. that's why it s kinda useless to flame morningdew on sro.net. morningdew hate bots just like me or you... maybe even more ;P. And they catch bot, a lot of them... the problem is that koreans rarely ban because there are some long procedures etc etc u see. so if u hate bots u have to blame bots or the gms who are resposnible of the banning... not MD >.< poor md :(

Do you know what I want.

I want a GM on every server patrolling every 24 hours.
How would you do that?

Simple.
1 GM located in Korea(GM1), 1 in California(GM2), 1 in London(GM3).
Once GM1 logs onto the game and works on a time period about (24hr /3 = 8hrs). Then GM1 goes to sleep and GM2 logs on and stays on the server for another 8 hours, then GM2 goes to sleep. Next GM3 comes on the process repeats.

This will cost Joymax much more money, but I think it would be worth it in the long run for joymax. Keeping the servers as Less Populated as possible.

If they are not going to keep people Joyful then why do they have that as the name of their company?

i don't think it's a matter of more GM'S, but a matter of GM'S doing their job right.

As stated by most, i want GMs that will do somthing. also sadly the 3 GM policy wont work as they probably have lives too, and cant spend everyday SRO for 8 hours-sleep-SRO-sleep.

Hard to do a good job when you've got the workload of three full-time employees and no time travel machine or super-speed powers.

Well, new GMs are on the way, it will be good. I think MD works to hard for us, she is normally in the office till 3-4am her time, sometimes not going home at all.

Her workload is crazy, and even with her current team, there is always to much to do. The new GM's will make it better :D

Right now there is...

[GM]Gargamel
[GM]Pizza
[GM]Mint
[GM]Nana
[GM]IceMilk
[GM]hanpooh

There are also a number of new GMs still in training.

Within the month, the game character that the US office uses in each of the game servers will also gain [GM] status. I will release that information when it becomes available.

[GM]Crayon has, regretfully, left our company in pursuit of his greater passion in life, which has something to do with corporate finance and stuff...but I still talk to him from time to time, and I will let him know that he is missed. I miss him too.

as a known botter i still voted yes, because i only started botting when i was only lvl 3x after 1 week of hardcore grinding and people were already in hotan at mid-4x. this game was honestly more fun before the bot was as widespread and if even the threat of being banned was there the bot community would at least slow down...but as of yet...the lack of gm involvement has caused all to follow as i did...get tired of botters so quit...or join them...and well we all know we are addicted =) so had to join.
