Hey.. My name's Matt.. I'm new here, I recently starting playing Silkroad Online about a week and a half ago so there is obviously alot of things I have to learn still, so I'm willing to be taught some in depth subjects of the game.. I have a level 13 which is going to be a Hunter, and a level 3 (lol just started), which is going to be a theif with high mastery in staffs, glavs, and fire.. the Hunter is going to be a mix of all different skills because he is considered my "Main".. I know very little about alching considering the only thing I know how to do is use alch material with "void rondo's". Any info would be great, nice to know there are some good active boards for SRO..

:D

Hey, Welcome Ill tell you how elixirs work, an Elixir can add a + to an item by adding a + you can increase the damage or defense of the item, Also by getting to a certain + on a weapon or shield it gains a colored glow.

+3=Silver
+5=Pink
+7=gold
+9=blue

There are 4 types of Elixirs: shield(can only be used on a shield), Weapon(can only be used on a weapon), protector(can only be used garmet, armor, or protector), Accesor(can only be used on jewellery)

Make sure to always use lucky powder when using an elixir It can be purchased from the general store in any town.

Hope that helped good luck and enjoy the game =)

Okay thanks for the greetings, where can I get elixirs? because using stock (original, not powered up) equiptment isn't the best at all.. =]

You get it as drops from killing monsters and they drop it, weapon elixer or pretty rare, or you can buy it from people's stall.

there is no point in upgrading low lvl weapons unless it's really amazing; such as sealed items.

anyways, welcome :)

Ok I got the rules down and everything, I normaly don't have any problems with the rules on boards so I think I'm safe... thanks for telling me the Administration group though..

I see, I should only use elixirs on high lvl gear because it would be a waste for a low lvl item considering I will outgrow it level-wise, and need higher lvl stuff..

I will worry about Elixirs at a higher level then.. I baught a black suit for 15k.. is that for Theifs? if so I'm gonna use it on my lev 3 once his stats are higher..

Does it cost money to pick my job at level 20? do I have to see someone to choose?

I did a quest to exspand my invenory like 12 slots, is there any other quests for this?

Thanks for the help I apreciate it..

Theres two more quests for it, one is at level 30 where you have to kill Earth Taoists and Magicians. The other one is at lvl 60 where you kill big white spiders.

15k, you got scammed. They only cost 10k from npc =(

No, it does not cost money to do jobs. However, you have to buy job suits. See trade union guy/hunter guild guy/thief npc to buy the job suits. Once you have the right job suit, you can do that job.

At lvl 30 and 60, there will be another inventory expansion available.

u dont pay for job and can switch every 10min or log off and on
more inv expansion at higher lvls
u got ripped off - thief suits only cost 10k at npc but since many noobs dont use the INTERNET and search for the thief hideout, they'r willing to pay anything lol i buy 10 suits for 100k and resell for 30k ea = 300k :D

in location, type server name.

thiefs >> sell goods stolen from trader

hunter >> just hope that the trader will pay you

Thief's attack a caravan with 2stars or more. Then collects the items with a horse, camel or fire ox and sells to theif town. Hunter just kills thiefs.

If you want money, go with merchant.

Hey hey hey welcome! :D
Id recommend taking a trip to the Compilation of Character/Build Guides to figure out which build is right for you so you don't have to restart your character like so many of us have done :banghead:
You have decided to be a hunter; that's noble, since traders nowadays are so greedy they won't give you a share of the profit. At least you'll be the good guy though!
If ya need any other advice just post here or feel free to PM me using SRF's PM system. I'll answer ur question if I can. :D

Thanks very much, I'll scan through the guide later on. I got a basic idea for my 2 chars that I'll probably stick with, Yeah, I like hunters just because some Theif's bug passing by traders, may be funny till their's someone to defend them!, my 2nd char is a theif because I have some sneaking around to do myself, lol.

before the job update comes most people just put on a random job suit depending on if they need to a) defend a friend during a trade or b) want to make other people sad by robbing a huge trade run and have a warm, evil feeling in their belly. :D
