if you dont want people to get hacked then dont advertise it and dont put it in ur sig?

The thing that I appreciate is the work and dedication that goes into making & maintaining software from scratch.

Yes, this goes for bots, too. I don't appreciate bot users, I just admire the work that the developers put into their product.

Now, not all products are well-made or even take a huge amt of skill, but it does take a certain amt of knowledge and imagination to produce. But not only is it produced and released, but it's something that actually works and people are actually willing to use (and in some cases, pay for). Which, in my eyes deserves a pat on the back whether it be on the scale of Windows, SRO, or Softmod.

Now, I see your "spit" analogy. And yes, I can see where the moral conflict comes when someone develops a cheat system to a game you pay for and are loyal to. However, I choose to ignore the morals behind it and look at the work.

Spitting it your burger takes no skill. Unless, of course, he did it from the drive-up window to your chair and it landed smack in the middle of your meat, then that's skill.
