Game freezes when a person in the party disconnects?

How come the game freezes when a person in the party disconnects? Well, not the game, just your character of course, so the mobs can kill you. Is there some technical explanation to why it HAS to be like that, or is it just something Joymax hasn't done right?

I've died twice because of this today, when someone is disconnected, the game freezes for 10 seconds or so and autopot stops working. It's really annoying, becuase I have to do the Earth Taoist/Magician quests now, and there are only aggro mobs where they are, so I can't just go and grind somewhere else.

It's even more annoying since people never seem to be in a party for more than 10 minutes...half the time playing is spent running back from town to where you died and looking for a party. >_<

Yeah I have this too, solution WAS you need more RAM.
