Ok, here's an idea. Some of you may agree or not agree but here is what I came up with......

Pay say....... $5.00/month to play SRO and you get...... a pet of your choice that will last as long as you are still a paying member (Monkey, Rabbit, and Squirrel). You get your own private server, only paying members can get in which should prevent disconnection and should be able to log in anytime. You get Gold Ticket every weekend not including weekdays and if you buy gold ticket for one month from item mall, instead of 3 hours worth of ticket on weekends, you get 6 hours because you get the free 3 hours for being a member.

This already pays for itself since $5.00 alone is how much you would pay for a monkey plus you get your own server and gold ticket.

The only problem is...... if a member account, you must specify which server you want to put your character in and that will only be a member in that server. However, you can transfer membership if you want to go to a different server, your old character will still be there on the old server but you cannot play it until you make it a member again. So if you want to be able to play in two servers with different characters, you have to pay membership for each server. It's like saying, you can't bring your monkey to a different server which is true in this current silkroad.

JoyMax will create new servers and allow only a maximum of 2000 members on each members server so it will be less laggy.

What do you guys think?

I think Joymax making private servers for paying members would make more lag. In the long run, Joymax would probably lie to the paying members just to steal your money when they would put you in the same quality server as the rest of the serves implemented now. Shot Down sorry.

No it wouldn't work out, they make more money from the current Item Mall system. Only if it was $20+ per month.

not to mention they'd lose money based on what they currently charge.. you're asking for alot, which isn't going to happen.

Plus your suggestion doesn't even put the nudity back into the game as was originally intended.

It is a nice idea, but it kills the system of a free mmo.

For a private server illegally or legally - make item mall free and have members pay a $5 fee a month, sure thats very fair.

Thats it though.


Their free mmo for life is what they stand by and it is what attracts so many ppl.

The fact that item mall is there for you to use openly is what brings in the money.

And compared to other game item malls, SRO stuff you really need to play normally and have fun compared to making it more fun.

Like reverse return should be a free in game item since you really need it at high lvls, but you have to buy em.

Very clever i must say.

Their payment methods are here to stay, only item mall price changes or free item mall events in the future may change.

What your talking about is private servers which illegal users make, no more no less.

hmmm i see you still dun understand how the korean mmo corporations works..
their goal is not to bring to good service.
their goal is to rip money of u.
and this idea will get them less money than item mall and will make them work harder = bad idea.

btw 2 them not doing this will not make u go away therefore doing this does not help u. cuz u will stay even if jm keeps this up , u no that urself

all that for $5.00 per month. i dun think JM would do it, i mean right now ppl spend 20+ per month through items mall. Like someone said, theyd b losing money.

After thinking about my answer very slowly and carefully and analyzing every possible positive and negative that could come of this, now and 200 years into the future...my answer is....no.

Just for clarification, I didnt say that they would make item mall for free, just the cute little theiving pet and a gold ticket every weekend.

they could charge 10 bux with those, thus making them make money from that. People will still spend on money on more gold car and etc.

Also........ they would limit the amount of members are in a server but they may not do it

But I do understand that they do want to make as much money as possible rather than satisfying their costumers because with the quality they provide, other than the lack of bot killers and laggy server, they do give you a great game that you cannot resist. Even untill now, I still want to play silkroad since I got booted out from playing the game on November by my laptop since it wont play anymore. But ill be building a pc in less than a month so I can get back in playing

dude it wotn make more lag..but its a very veyr nice and pointles idea...-_- ooo i got SoSUN +7 AND IM GOING TO PWN MANGYANS WITH IT BCUZ THERE ARE NO NUBS TO KILL.....nubs, loosers, scammers is what make this game fun....(killing em of course)...and sometimes hacking and scamming canbe fun

its a nice thought...i'm not sure where you are getting the numbers form though. you have to undertand that if SRO was to do that they would probably be losing money. I'm sure they make a ton selling item mall stuff...with the membership thing ($5 is insanely low price for mmorpg) they may be making less money

That is asking way too much for 5 dollars.

yea, if it was only 5 dollars everyone would pay it, then it would be just as crowded as it is now. and why you didnt think of this is beyond me.
