"Noobness" and Level

Can you be high level and still be a noob? In real life, age and experience comes hand in hand rite? How about in SRO, will level and experience be the same? Can you actually be a high lvl noob [considering you didn't bot and didn't buy a character from someone]?

Tricky question. Noobs are like new players and some people consider someone who doesnt know anything a noob even though he's played the game for say 100 years or so. I guess it just depends, why even bother calling someone a noob, not like it hurts them or anything. WTF, the person that called you a noob doesnt even know who you are in real life, its like calling a stranger any adjective (I think thats what it is, something that describes a noun) but it doesnt really matter because it never is true unless you know that person.

Newby = lower levels and dont understand the game
N00b = upper levels who know how to play yet persist to ks, bot and do things you would consider immature

if you bot 24/7 and you barely play the game yourself..

lvl doesn't mean much to whether or not your a noob, you can be lvl 1, just starting the game, and going around figuring stuff out for yourself and reading the stuff your supposed to so you know what to do, and I would say your not a noob, but if you go around "WHERE DO I GO?" saying stuff like that lol, then your a noob. You can be lvl 80 too and still be a noob, not lvling your own character or buying one, pretty much makes you a noob with high lvl, and generally being stupid or an ass.

"newb" is the new to the game kind
"noob" is your a retard kind

Urban Dictionary wrote:noob

comes in two variations, noob and newb.

Noob is meant as an offensive term towards someone who is not nessicarily new, and quite often is directed at someone that is |somewhat| experienced but at the same time stupid/disruptive and/or totally incapable of learning.
A noob is almost always someone who thinks they're cool but obviously aren't. Also used in 1337speak.
see also: n00b, nub, ch00b, n00bo, n00blet.

Newb is not meant to be offensive. newb merely states that the person in question is new to the game/board/whatever.

Noob -
Ralph: OMG I IS THE BEST!11!!one1!!! YUO ALL SUK!11! LOL!
Fred: noob.
Daniel: go home n00blet...

Newb -
Sam: Guys, anyone know where |x| is?
Daniel: Sure, Its somewhere over near |y|.

There is another possibility. If you botted your way to a high level without ever playing the game, I suppose you could be a newb...AND a n00b...AND be high level...hmmm....

Yeah, noobs can be found on every level. There are plenty of other players I'd classify as noobs though, independant of level...like those 'tards that ride their transports through the stronghold and kill all the sp farmers and use the excuse 'we were tryin to kill bots'

Now those are n00bs.

Funny story... one of the 3x-4x traders was marching around with his transport, having his npc's rape the newbies and farmers. After a couple of minutes, someone blew the whistle to a guildie, and this trader had not one, but two 6x non-jobbed guys tracing him.

What does he do? Think he gets back on his transport?

Nope. He goofs off and lets it get killed by the npc's that he himself spawned, and immediately gets pwned by a quick suited thief. (trader handbook - items to bring: animal pots, lots of em.)

High level guildies, FTW. Got a nice screenie will have to fish out & post. 8)

other 'n00bs':

1 - bastard a55 bot that talks once every 7 days and wants to know why u ks him. (if pk didn't have so bad a penalty...)
2 - 4x+ monster scrolling at jangan gates.
3 - Protectors in a field of mangyangs and newbies....so mean.
4 - 6x repeat tg killers.
5 - 4x-5x tg hunters that flame the 6x for hunting tg 'at a high level' - WTH, LOL
6 - 7x in newbie gear pvping.
7 - stallers with high-ass prices for worthless crap.
8 - stallers with low prices for worthless crap.
9 - stallers with a stall full of nothing for sale/modified status. Sign off, stop wasting our time.

10 - anyone that says 'can u powerlevel me?' --- play the game and lvl yourself.
11 - anyone that says 'can u powerlevel my pet?' --- see #10.

12 - anyone that says 'wanna see my gear?'

and the favorite... 'gold pls'

Ye, I dont get why people ask others (high lvls) to powerlvl them. Im like WTF? Where's the fun from playing the game if you just watch and sit someone kill something. Well, its fun watching them but thats not the point. And as for the wolf, I mean, you can lvl the wolf yourself. Just kill stuff like you normally would (kill something not aggressive so your wolf wont die) and then just dont let your wolf attack something. It will lvl fast. If it was possible, your wolf would have probably outlvled you by about 10 or so lvls.

Alright, i see everyone talkin bout newbs and n00bs. I admit, I'll consider myself a bit of a newb here since my characters are all under 30, but I don't consider myself a n00b. I've certainly come across some in my time, but there's something missing here. And that the "Nub" or as I like to call the extreme ones: "Nubcakes." Now usually this is meant as a disgrace when you say "I eat nubcakes like you for breakfast." But I use it mostly with friends as a way to taunt them and keep the game fun.

Nubcake:
Noun- Someone that sucks at an online game. Used as an insult that typically irritates the person at whom it is being directed. Derived from the word nub, which is a variation of the word noob. Usually, the word nubcake is exchanged among experienced players in a joking manor, since most real noobs would not understand its meaning.

I also use it when describing a noob to a friend but don't want him to get too offended. I'll say, "Hey Kat, check out that nubcake over there... he's bout to get pwnd!" You have to take into account all the different variations of the word. Nubcake also tends to mean that someone is immature or young and stupid.

Any level can be a noob, a noob is defined by their actions, not their levels.

Well unless this guy was lying to me, which he probably was. There was a level 64 asking to buy, level 64 shoulder, and 64 boots. When I told him they didn't exist he asked why not  So then he asked if there was head 64 :banghead:

Noob is over used.

b00n ftw :P

"PM: spam spam spam, gimme gold/items(constant exchange spam), you botter(based of lvl :? ), why'd you kill me, some swear words for a couple mob ks, any other stupid pm."

"New response:stfu boon" or ignore and let them constantly spam then get called a botter or noob cause it's the only "insult?" they can come up with for not responding to their stupidity. :x

I'm sort of guilty on contributing to #10 and #11...and #9 once...I was sort of tired, got all my crap in a stall and forgot to open it. But got several msgs about people wanting to buy stuff so ended up selling most of it the next evening!

Well, and on my noob char I do scream rEsssssssssssssss a lot b/c it's funny for the first couple of minutes....as long as you spice it up a little and toss in stuff like "mmmmm, grass is tasty over here" or "bah, jangan dirt tastes way better than this stuff"
