Today my bow started flashing red, and when I moused over it is says "durability: 6/50". What's this all about? Does this mean that my bow will eventually snap or something? :-/

Interesting. How does your durability go down? Just general use?

Unless you bought a unrepairable "Unique" drop. Then you're pretty much f*cked. Then, when it goes to zero, it is useless.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 50 points for durability is way too low. Look for a Stone or Tablet of Masters to increase the durability, otherwise you will find yourself having to run to the blacksmith every hour or so.

I've had durability go down to 0 and the only negative effect is that you can't use it anymore until you repair it. Weapons are only break in alchemy mishaps, so I hear, but that is quite rare.

Chances are he is a very low level character using very low level items seeing as how he didn't know that you can repair items. Not worth increasing the durability.
