Botters are not legit players.
How about people who uses CCF silks? are they legit players?
Botters = against SRO's rule = not legit
CCF Silks = agasinst SRO's rule = against the law = "legit" or "not legit"
Not flaming on anyone, just tell me what you think of "what is a legit player?"

A Legit player is someone who does not cheat in a game.
CCF means you buy silks, charge back and keep doing that to have an "unfair" advantage in the game.
So CCF must die because they are just as bad as botters.

People who pay gold for something are not cheating and if they buy something with their gold that happens to be CCF'd, you can't really blame them.
The CCFer though(you in this case), is not legit.
Repeat after me: "Easy is legit, I am not"
Are you having trouble sleeping at night all of the sudden or what?

I agree. However, how far does this go as far as having an "unfair" advantage? What about players who use glitches to attack while riding their transport, or kill other players' wolves without getting murderer status, or using teleporters or logoff/logon to reset job item timers (think switching hunter -> thief to rob the trade you're protecting.)?

Ccfers belong to the very same group as botters, scummers, hackers = cheaters. They commit crime in real life to cheat in the game.
Thus u asked the question wrongly...
it is legit vs cheater or criminal?.. tell me ccf is not a crime and I believe lady moon is shining down for me
imo in *edit*Arabians*edit* definition of legit he said it ..
A Legit player is someone who does not cheat in a game.
Now there is silk purchased with money, it's okey to buy it if the money is yours.. but if u ccf, u stole money, buy silk which in fact is stolen as well then, furthermore any other action taken with it is just stealing and cheating...
now lets ask again.. is CCF legit or cheat/crime?
I'm happy to see what kind of people those saying ccf is legit are.
Not thinking in consequences neither in links of acts that are created by single action affecting the other one or thousand of them.
Just Loosers. Think 'fore you post.

I'm actually pretty surprised Easy trusted one of you low-lifes. I sometimes try to scam the silk-seller, unfortunately I haven't found one yet that isn't trying to scam themselves. It makes me laugh. Almost worked once =p
I buy my own silk thanks.

I see where your coming from.
I think what you said is I guess abusing the system. And it is an "unfair" advantages in which you said above.
So therefore I do think if you do use those glitches or abuse the system it means to ME that they are not fully Legit.
Just my 2 cents.

As far as buying CCF items, how can you really tell if an item is CCFed? I mean purchasing something from someone who is globalling that they "WTS CCF blahblahblah" is obviously buying CCF, but I've seen people claim that a weapon that happens to have 5 or 6 astral and immortal on it is CCFed. Can't it just be that the owner of that item chose to buy that many stones? If I see an item like that in a stall, and the price is good, should I not buy it just because it "might be CCFed"? If I buy it, does it make me not legit? Granted, I've never purchased anything like that, but still. What if the item was found on the ground? The "potential CCFer" isn't benefiting from me picking up that item and selling it.

Buying a good weapon might be CCFed is totally understandable.. The topic is just for the one who uses CCF silk to make their weapon +5, 6, or 7.

how can that dude know it was ccf`ed silk?
some people actually help others by buying them silk or sending money to other paypal for gold.
what you are trying to claim is that someone who buys ccf`ed items is not legit
i really wont ask when i buy a weapons with astral if it was ccf`ed or not cause i simply don`t care to ask, as long as i got it legit (with my own gold) then there is nothing wrong with me.
buying it when knowing it was ccf`ed is another more moral thing.

Yeah it's easy to lose track of the actual topic after so many replies... Yes I agree that if someone uses Credit Card Fraud in order to make their weapon +5 +6 or +7 (or uses it to give themselves ANY advantage) is cheating and deserves no place on the server. I'd even go as far as to say the CCFer should be fined (or whatever the suitable punishment is) in real life. After all, they are committing fraud, getting money back without *really* returning the goods (silk).
Edit: but how do you know if the person's silk is CCFed?

erm ccf = "not legit" but you said it yourself
CCF Silks = agasinst SRO's rule = against the law = "legit" or "not legit"
rofl easy legit, i almost fell off my chair when i heard ichi and legit in one sentence. it doesnt bother me if they do bot, hey im in a botter guild/union at the end of the day its jsut when they say they dont.

PR0METHEUS wrote:Edit: but how do you know if the person's silk is CCFed?
It's hard to tell, but for some CCF people are too lazy to rebuy and load the astral everytime they fail, they just buy and load few of them at the same time, so they just keep trying. That's why you will see some weapons has multi astral loaded.
For that people who get caught, the account will be blocked instantly.

So, my summary of this thread.
Anonymous coward or his supposed friend create a ccf account with 500silk, or just claim too, doesn't matter. Then they proceed to spam that they're selling silk - a good plan, very original.
After they steal a few clueless noob's accounts, Easy decides he'll buy some silk with in game gold to save some real money, totally understandable but obviously risky if you're dealing with the anonymous coward or one of his kind.
So anonymous coward and/or his friend makes a deal with Easy, 500silk for 18mil. Quite a ripoff even if you guys weren't trying to jack people but whatever. Once again I'm surprised Easy put any trust into characters like yourselves, but for whatever reason.. he did. I also doubt you guys were saying "WTS CCF'd SILK", you might as well be saying "WTScam your gold and/or entire account, pm me!"
Then, Easy held up his end of the bargain, anonymous coward and his band of butt-pirates did not. Easy loses 9mil gold that he earned legitimately to anonymous coward and his guild of cheaters. This of course makes their day since they get to directly rape one of the few legits that they all make the game suck for, every day, indirectly.
So, with all of this in mind, you expect the members of SRF to look at this thread and say "Wow, Easy must have known that silk was CCF'd since nobody in the world would realistically spend 50 whole dollars on a video game, he's a cheater!" - Well, sorry to let you down, but somehow I doubt anyone has reached any conclusion other than the fact that you and your friends are the people ruining this game, the same ones we whine about daily about because they haven't been banned yet.
Am I wrong?
What say you anonomous coward? What say you, members of SRF?

phresh got to agree with you here man i mean look at people who play p2p games such as wow spend so much on it. 50 dollars is nothing at the end of the day (or close to) also phresh im gonn take your word that easy doesnt bot and test him by randomly pming him

Seriously, How do you know if a Weapon is Legit or CCF'ed. Seriously, In real life $50 is not that much and yet people accuse others for having more than 5 astral on their weapon. Well guess what, 5 x 5 = $25. Still not that much. Unless the person clearly says they CCF'ed it then it is true. I swear will people get over the fact that having 5 Astral on your Farking weapon doesn't mean you CCF.
I am a 13 year old kid. I can get a easy $30/2 weeks. So in a month i could get approximately $50. Cmon, its not that much money unless you are hobo picking up cans in the middle of the street for 0.10$ a piece.

Just another thought. Ah this is good old fun with anolgies, reminds me of my old ethics 101 course.
If we are to say that it is wrong to buy silk (from some random) because that silk was CCF'd in all likelyhood..
Then shouldn''t we also say it's wrong to buy anything from anyone you don't know to be legit, because in all likelyhood that person acquired the item they're selling illegitimately?
I bet 99.5% of the people in this server have bought something that a bot picked up. Whether they know it, or care, or not. So, what then? Only people who buy stuff from people they know not to be bots are legit? Great, SRO just went from having like 15-20% legit players to like .05% legit players. GG.
