There was some article about that eBay has forbidden selling virtual stuff like game accounts, since such things are intelectual property of developers, in our case Joymax. So deal with it in SRF also.

I can't see why its illegal? I put money in it, I put time in it.. its mine to be honest.. howcome its illegal? Just cause joymax cant make money from new accounts that need golden ticket?

Ok, so if I create an account on Google.com, put time and effort into joining various Google groups, adding various friends and family to my Google contacts list, filling my inbox with useful information I found throught the Web, newsgroups, mailing lists, etc... Can I then turn around and sell that account? NO. It doesn't matter how the account is configured. It's still owned by Google. You just have a "license" to use the account. Same with SRO. You have a "license" to use your account to play Silkroad Online. You don't own the account.

Joymax forbids it, not that it matters. main thing is make sure you've got guarantees on the exchange.

I think it does matter. Technically speaking, if you sell your character, you are selling Joymax's intellectual property. I'm sure if they wanted to, they could (maybe they do?) prosecute the seller. Just like if Johnny down the street starts selling copies of Windows XP Pro on the street corner, Microsoft could go after him.

technically, sale of characters for in-game gold is also prohibited because as anyone who has played this game knows, in-game gold has cash value.
