Hey guys.

We've all seen it. The spam, the flaming, the racism, the accusations, the attention-whoring, the bot-mongering.

We all want it to go away. We want this place to return to what it used to be. I clean, safe place for people who genuinely love playing this game to meet, share stories, ideas, questions, strategies, forge new friendships and expand new horizions.

As a staff, we're doing all we can do. But in case you haven't noticed, the forum population is over 14,000 now. There are more new threads every day than any of us could possibly read. There used to be a time when I personally read and posted in every topic in GD and most of those in OT. There simply aren't enough hours in the day for this now. So naturally things are going to slip by, be missed, or escape notice.

So what can you, the dedicated forum user, do to help us take out the garbage around here? If you see something, say something. DO NOT respond to flame w/ flame, spam w/ spam, hate w/ hate. PM a member of the mod staff. Hell, PM ALL of the mod staff.

The list of active moderators and admins on this site is:
-Ryoko (Admin)
-Key-J (Mod)
-Sin (Mod)
-SuicideGrl (Mod)
(there are a few more on the way, stay tuned for that)

In your PM, make sure you include:

• The user name of the person who posted the message in question
• a link to the page in the thread where the post can be found
• a brief and tactful description of the reason for the report

if you want to include more information, that's fine, but realize that the more you type the more we have to read and the longer it takes for problems to be dealt with.

ONLY Admins can ban users, so don't expect that from Mods, but we have other tools at our disposal. Believe me, we all know who the offenders are, and I for one am through being nice about it. It's time to swing wide w/ the mod stick.

Let's take SRF back. Do your part, don't feed the trolls, don't fan the flames, don't give the attention whores any ammunition. Instead, just click the "PM" button and let us put the trash where the trash belongs.

two down. i've bookmarked the search pages linked to these users' forum names. every time i log on, the fiorst thing i'll do is run the searches, purge their posts, and then go about the rest of my business. takes no time at all.

absolutely wrong.

though i don't plan to purge anyone unless they prove themselves to be a chronic problem. but if you flame, you will be edited, even if the post was made last week, last month, or last year. if it surfaces somehow and i read it, it's modded.

I dont mind flaming when the forum is calm, but when it gets chaotic, its time to sit back and shut it till someone restores order.

While still on that topic SuicideGrl, I, Loveis4ever, come from the GREECE, thus I have right and AM RIGHT when I say that someone bots he/she bots, been there saw them. I don't accuse people of botting just because I don't like them.. I accuse them of botting because that's what they do and THAT is what I hate.

Hey c'mon, yu'r right, no need to flame we're on the same server now, and I as You wants it to become better than other servers. Xian seems a nice server with a nice people, a place I could possibly call my "home"... I couldn't do that on Greece, unless I'd accepted HELL to be my home. LoL

Maybe, if possible, we could get a button on each post that we could press to automatically report that post to a mod?

even tho I don't agree with the fact I should rage against them in the game, and stand silently and blindly next to them on the forums.. but... alright, I'll just be blind as a blind man can to everything bot related on these forums. But don't get me wrong, I'm one big eye in da game :>

Excellent decision made by the mod team I feel. As a newcomer to the board I've already been slightly shocked by the sheer volume of trash that gets posted here, seemingly with no comeback whatsoever.

Just a quick note, a scan of the member list shows just over 8000 of the 14000 registered members have never actually submitted a single post. Doesn't this need pruning?

Ive reported bad post's a few times.
But there should be a report button, that would make it much easier to report.

Nice to see this happening. I guess I missed alot by not touching the forums this weekend.
