SRO mythbusters

In this thread you can post common sro myths and people attempt to either prove or bust them.
For example-
Wearing full sox gives a certain bonus- wrong. You don't get any speed increase, or hp increase or whatever if all your items are sox.

Green monsters have a higher item drop rate- 99% sure this is wrong. There is no connection between color and drop rate, some mobs might have higher rates than others, and there are many other factors which can be taken into account, but at the end of the day, there is always the luck factor which makes this untestable.

Certain locations or "rituals" improve one's luck at alchemy- again, untestable. The luck factor always overrides everything else. You can do one thing 50 times and it works, and then the same exact thing right afterwards 50 more times and fail all those.

You can drop equipped items including your weapon when you die- partial, there is a chance you can drop any item in your inventory or equipped when you die. Your weapon however cannot be dropped (I am unsure about shield) when you die.

Post more myths that you know, or even don't know, and feel free to try to prove/disprove what others have said, just don't flame or go off topic  [/b]

The SOS gear is false, I agree. Having a full set is no bonus but it is one hell of a set to own.

Level of monsters does not matter for green white and orange.
Red and blue expect little to nothing.

Luck for alchemy is the same as in the real world with a rabbits foot, alchemy is all chance (Or not in some peoples cases) and people have lucky spots because they do alchemy best there, but it does not really increase there chance, just eases there mind.

Unless your red you have a small chance to drop items in inventory, this is true I dropped my return scrolls once (All 50 of em).

Red lvl one you drop items in inventory more often and lvl2 and up you can drop equipped gear and anything else has a higher chance of dropping, higher the lvl the higher the chance to drop stuff.

myth: wind bug - wind is off and JM does not know or will not fix it.

- This is just not true, they turned it off because it was causing among other things a lot of crash errors. JM is currently adding a patch to fix the ?? errors and when they do expect the wind to return permanently as well as future updates to come in.

I had no idea you could lose items by dying. That explains where the 720 void rondos I was carrying went.

Your weapon CAN be dropped when you die, I lured a bunch of stuff on evilsoul a while back because his bot was stuck, after he died he dropped his blade, but that was around when the caves just opend, unless they changed it though, it can.

that would be because when yuo die normally you have a very small chance to drop absolutely anything, however in murder you have a bigger chance to drop things but your equipped weapon can't drop (most likely to give people a chance to grind off the status

http://www.silkroad-blog.com/index.php/ ... how-to-fix It's not turned off, just off by default. You gotta turn it on manually. I love it when ppl talk about stuff like they have an inside track on what JM is doing. Funny.

i can assure you the sheild does drop i just killed a noob today at tigers with a lightning theif and he dropped a lvl 1 sheild. i also died while theiving today and droped 50 of my x large animal pots. i think it is possible to drop your weapon because on 2 accasions :? one including today i have had weapon drops in my rabbit. one a few months ago i had got a spear from killing a guy. he was using a spear the same exact one as a matter of fact. he could have possibly had another one in his invent ia unshure. i also had a bow drop from a sp farmer at stronghold but am unshure if this one is true or not because i had my rabbit on wasnt paying attention and it was picking up all equiptments so not shure about that one. but yes u can drop your sheild unshure about sword but i think its possible

I can't tell if you're being facetious or not, but not too long ago around x6352:y38 (south from Jangnan), I found that the you can get the dimensional gate cursor to appear. If you click it, though, you won't get any warp options. Don't know if it's been fixed yet.

you can kill faster when they are green so it kinda supports the illusion that you are gaining even more items from greens than when you are fighting greys/whites.as far as i can tell when i grind.
it really depends on the level of the mob and the level you are at. (ie) my lvl 61 gets less drops than when he is 60 and fighting peon warriors. at 62 pw's turn blue for him.
ive de-leveled several times already. [s]recurring themes are fun [/s] (i hate sp farming)

and my ice cream just turned to yogurt >.<

Wearing a million gold flag gives you something special, like radar invisibility

False. Tested over and over again, it does not give you invisibility, does not let you take more goods under the 1* level, does not give more xp. The only thing it changes is looks.

Drops per color of mob

Any pure int farmer can tell you that color does matter, since the higher lev mobs go down almost as fast the weaker ones(almost)

drop ratio is higher with your lev (white) and lower,
and greens do drop more ! And not the (more kills per hour ration for drops either) its color related, orange and reds (very low drop rate)

i've farmed and know this to be true, and i have also lost sos weapon on death, just random chance of anything dropping and was using it when i died, so not just inv, anything has a chance to be lost

and also, plz don't boast of knowing unless you do, starting a thread on theory is not the way to go

Those who tell don't know (those who know don't tell )
