Everything helps, but do you have enough sp?

Anything that raises your damage helps.

It's probably the most important buff, it works well for all builds, You'll definately notice the difference between having it and not having it.

The 3rd book maxes in the 5x levels at 15%, there is a 4th book just 1 level of it at 68 which gives 16% but you only need that if your taking your light as high as that which a lot of people do anyway for the grasswalks.

can anyone elborate on a pure str having 15% and 16% does it make a difference on a pure str character
i have the 15% buff and i added fire mastery past 70 to 76 and I DID NOT NOTICE any difference in damage that was weird

You prob won't notice it on a few hits but over all it does more damage then 15% and it also gives you more time so you don't have to buff as much, which makes life alot easier *lazier* for me lol.

the damage is too low for you to notice, that's my guess... I mean 5% more damage from an imbue or whaterver, isn't really that noticable.. why? Because an str doesn't really rely on the imbue entirely that much.. for instance I will hit with a regular hit 8-900 on something.. imbued, i'll hit up to 1100 or so.. and if i were to have 5% more damage on the fire from raising the mastery, that may make me hit 10 more damage or something.. nothing major.. not entirely that noticeable.. but there definitely should be some notice between like a 65 and an 80 fire mastery...

at 65 yes by 69 when you max book 4 imbue thats about it
besides level 68 light > fire 80
i will be leaving imbue at lv 70
