i am currently playing WoW, but after 4 months of it, i decided to take a brake from that game. and i was thinking of play SRO again, but i am worried about the speed of the grind. when i played this game 4months ago, the grind was barely acceptable. Anyways, what do you guys think?

Hand grinded a pure str blader to lvl 64 w/o GT or any silk bought item. It does take a while though.

Uh, its not impossible to hand grind to 52. It just takes long time, that's all. Before item mall came out, there were legits who grinded their way to 60. I guess it depends on how much motivation you have to grind

It would be painful for me to go back to this game after playing WoW, the grind is just too much. You must really be a trooper.

You have no clue what you are talking about. I have a guildie who doesn't bot and has gotten to 64 without any silk whatsoever.

Of course sro is playable without gold ticket.
What, you need gt to install and open the game or something?

everything is possible, it's just a matter of determination and patience, a truckfull of Red Bull and pizza and a lengthly time away from the real world.
just kidding about the Red Bull, pizza and real life....then again....

It is possible to play SRO without a ST or GT but it sure is damn boring ! I don't have any credit card and I was lvl 50 when I quit.
U'd be better off if u stick 1 WoW

it's more then possible. by the looks of things I'm going to be doing it when i finish SP farming, and I'll probably level faster then most of you plums with a GT.
yes, I have a life, it consists of enjoying myself playing the games I like, and talking to my friends, most of which are in other countries so the only portal is through an internet connection, and before anyone says 'you need to go outside more' they need to take a look around, not everyoen lives in a bussling city with fun things to do in every direction, i live in a run down fricken village that have more old people and farmers then babies, I live at the edge of this place and i can get to the town centre walking in 4 minutes, my closest friends live 100 miels away.
would you want to go out in a place like this?

How the heck is peoples gonna level up to lvl 120 when they raise the cap then? It's going to take a very long long long long time even with gold ticket. But of course, no one is planning for that yet since it's going to take forever to see that day come.
If you want to play this game and have fun, don't think about leveling up. The more you spend on grinding, the less fun you have. You can still have fun as a low lvl, even if you get pwned by high lvls. And what fun is it as a high lvl when you pick on noobs? There's no challenge there.

It depends entirely on the player. It's more than possible to level without a GT, but it's down to whether you have the patience or not.
If you're playing SRO with the sole intention of levelling, you're in for one hell of a dull ride. Be prepared to disengage your brain for long periods of time. If you're playing for fun, levelling will be an occasional treat in the scheme of things, but not the sole purpose.
I think the problem for most new players is the attentions span. Most noobs want to do everything all at once. They wanna trade, thief, nuke and tank, and when they realise they won't be able to do this for a few days they lose interest. Or bot. Grr.
Have patience, children, and the world will be yours. Or at least some of it, anyway

GT FTW.
Have been using it since first day I played SRO which is last week just started.
Been farming now, sp points are fast and crazy,i got like 1500 sp exp per kill which i did one hit with my wonderful sos lvl 16 (+5) full blue bow.
WOOT. WOOT.
Oh well, with GT/ST or without, it depends on urself.
You need determination.
But for me I play 4 hrs a day and only on weekdays, weekends I go out.
So I do need GT Tickets, bought over 50 prepaid cards, left with 20.
Since this forum banned of selling silk, oh well..
Cheers and good luck to those ppl without GT.

Let me tell you i leveled without GT for 6 months.
bad ass grind, i love this game and i didn't mind to kill billions of mobs to get 1 level.
I though for myself i'd get to lvl 50 without ticket and I did.
it's very hard without ticket let me tell you.
now i'm using gold tickets and i'm lvl 65 (in 1 month and a half, which means 15 levels -lots of exp points-).
Definitely hard to level up without ticket, at least you bot or something else, which i hope you don't.

Yes I'd say it's definitely playable without a gold ticket. You don't even need to have "no life" to do it. I'm married, a father of a 9 month old daughter, and have a fulltime job in IT security, but I have still found time to hand level a pure str blader to currently lvl 41 (about 10% to 42). Granted it's taking a while, but I'm getting there. There's more to this game than leveling. For me personally, I don't have to be a high level to enjoy the game. I can find a way to have fun at any level, so I don't feel the pressure to have a mad race to get to level cap. I've never bought a single thing in the item mall, and never even bought silk. Sure, that stuff helps, but it's not needed.
