Just posted this in another thread and was wondering what everyone thought about it.

what if they had image verification set up when you entered a town. BOT's have to go to town to restock supplies. if they had to enter a code when in town they would wind up getting booted because there would be no one there to enter the code. they would be able to bot for as long as they had pots or inventory space then they would have to quit. what do you think? would it work or not.

awful idea. legit players would go INSANE having to do that every time they go to town.

Worst. Idea. Ever.

There are really no great ideas, If joymax adds something good
people would say "Hey thats the same as w/e game"...

Actually, I like Joymax's newest idea of image verification before connecting to servers.

had to ask. wouldn't bother me very much. an extra 5sec. when you enter town. compared to how long alchemey takes it seems worth it to me. . But do you think it would stop BOT's at all?

What happens if you mistype the code then?

Disconnect from server.

Down you go.

Then you would have to log back inside.but since the servers are all crowded you are unable to.

Now if the time comes when you managed to appear inside the game,you run back to town,lagging issue kicks in,screen freezes and the game botches up you're correct verification code.

Again down you go.

I thought about this idea too, but forgot to post it, cuz i wasn't on this forum for some time

I like the idea where you must enter the code, not really Joymax's solution in the login screen, but in the game itself. That would help a lot and that town idea is also very good and if you enter the code incorrect, or don't enter it at all within 2 or 3 minutes, you get disconnected (i know that many of you would kill me for saying this as something positive, but if it helps to clean the game and the code is good visible, why not

Joymax's solution doesn't help a lot, because the man who is using the bot can enter the code manually and then leave, the only thing that can stop him after that is a disconnection!!!

Just like somebody can just enter the server, stock on pots, bot, then leave. It's no different. It just causes more hassle.

I sure would type in a code every time i scroll to have no bots around...

I most definitely like this idea...

Theres a big down, tho. Bots can also walk back to town...

If be meny of this image verification everywhere I dont think nobody wants play this game. Be annyoing ,boring,stupid game.

Next proposals becomes too be image verification to fight on mobs Or trade run .
This game be called for image verification game fun.

See, you guys make this game revolve around bots. Instead of just playing and saying **** the bots let them do whatever you want you LIVE off of them. It seems like you play this game just to catch people botting and confront them. To you the game is ABOUT complaining and reporting bots, why not just go play the fuckin game. You guys care more about a bot getting banned then leveling yourself.

I stand against this idea because how fuckin annoying would it be every time you die in a war or something? And bots can grind for 3+ hours before heading back to town....so they just have to be near the computer once every 3 or so hours.

You will never get rid of the baybysitter botters. But rather than entering a code to go in town. Why not have random human intelligence tests. Just random times throughout the game a screen will pop up with image verification requests. This would only happen when not actively engaged in a fight. And while it is going you would be in an unattackable mode. This would also apply to pets and transports. At this point you could do one of two things. Either the char would stay in stasis till the dialog is completed. And or they could be punnished after a set amount of time for not replying.

i never used to get so many 'disconnected from server' before they added the stupid image code verification

No we just want all our effort to mean something. I have been playing for basically a year and I have yet to hit 64 on any char. Why I have a life of course. I have a life and I don't bot. I like the game. I want to play it. But with botters getting in a month or two what I can't in around a year of legitimate time spent is frustrating. I enjoy the lvl but they cheapen the whole experience. They make is seem so disposable as each char gets banned and they just bot up another one. I am not gonna advocate the total erradication of all bots. That will never happen. All I am asking is for basic responsible action to be taken. All the places I train I see bots pass by. This is not some paranoid thing where I think everyone is a bot. I can ID them just by where and how they move. There is a spot in taka where they parade past. Send a GM to my location for an hour some time and we can get 20 or more 70+ bot banned easy. No questions asked. Just there's a bot. Block. There's a bot. Block. Hell I can do it sitting in town. GM's overworked? Simple give the users the ability to flag an account for activity. When an account is flagged the movements etc will be recorded for playback later. That bot been humping an obstruction for the last 30 min? Flag it so the GM can see and ban him later. Simple things that have yet to be done.

I know I wasted my time talking to you. I was just feeling generous. You are probably one of the hypocrites that secretly bots and tries to justify it in this way. BOTTING EFFECTS EVERYONE! Botting's bad mmmmmkay. nuff' said

Because bots are always on the move,that's theire purpose.

By casting force heal the Mp gauge get's emptied faster then normal.

(Twice as fast if the bot is also using the fire imbue to hunt mobs.)

And by keeping the MP consumption to a minimum,the bot can continu it's grinding more efficiently.

Less time wasted by buying pots in the city,means more time gained by grinding mobs.

I see a lot of valid points here. I don't bot so I didn't realize how long a bot could stay out before having to go back to town. If they really can stay out for 3hrs then this wouldn't do much to stop them. at best it would shorten the grind and be a nuisance to them. more so for the gold bot's then the player bot's.I do like the idea about random IQ test to see if there is really a person there.still would bother some players but in the end would be worth it.

And about why I care so much about bot's? By the time I hit lvl 80 I'll be lucky if I can afford 1 SOS item. the way the games economy is headed only bot players and gold buyers will be able to afford good gear. So you get to the lvl cap and still can't compete because the bot's and gold buyers have SOS +7 everything with full blues and we have crap for gear because only they can afford the good gear or the alchamey to make good gear.So anyone who defends botting in anyway is either an idiot or botting/gold buying them selves,period.
