NO MORE GOLD BOTS....read to find out why

It seems that E-bay have decided to is canceling auctions for all virtual
items and property. what this means is that any item or gold sold in
online games will no longer be allowed to be posted on e-bay

Now the good thing for us is that early 90% of all gold sold on ebay is
collected via the so called "gold bots". But with gold no longer alowed
to be sold to the "consumers" it means the end of gold bots.

Players would often buy gold from e-bay as going to e-bay is more safer
then an un-used site and leaves no chance of being hacked (by just going
to the website). but now those who sell gold on e-bay with no longer be
able to, and as such their gold bots will become usless.

Cant sell gold/items,but can still sell accounts?

Posted: Tue Jan 30, 2007 6:16 pm
by satman83
well no they cant sell accounts....if you read the page that the link takes
you too...

you would see that all virtual items can no longer be listed...and
meaning that if it is transfered via e-mail or electronically or any means
other then postage...you cant put it up on e-bay any more.

so hopefully expect a big drop in gold bots.

Yea, there'll be a small drop. But they won't go away.

player who has never brought gold before, e-bay gives them a place
where they can safely pay for gold and items without fear of getting a key
logger. But know do you think that there more likely to go to some
website???

oh and "supgold.com" sell on e-bay....so looks like their losing out

Tell ya the truth, most people I know that buy gold (99.99%) buy it from a site and not from eBay. And it is true that most people on SRO are idiots who think every site is a keylogger. I am sure at least 5 idiots will read this post. :P

Well, gold bots are definitely going to be gone because of this. Most of the people who have private gold bots only have about like 5 and they are farming for themselves, it takes hundreds to make enough gold to be popular and sell for a whole server.

Well, eBay tends to be more of a trusted source for online transactions than a site like thepowerlevel.com or supgold.com. I'd be willing to purchase something online from the Disney Store for example, but not from JumpinJoeGadgets.com (made up).

ebay is the most inconvient way to buy gold. the gold service providers are much much better in terms of customer service / anti-fraud / timing.

powerleving services sell gold.

powerleveling services sell bots.

i would expect the bots to increase to account for increased demand on gold coming from power-leveling services type companies.

ROFL, Nice find although i woulda expected you to quote what
the info on the other website considering theres many people
that don't trust hidden links... Well i read it all and finaly it has
came to stop.

But theres ALWAYS my countries auction site
http://www.trademe.co.nz

I'd suggest JM giving them a Email to "try" stop people selling
shit that isn't real...

As long as the demand for gold exists,so will gold selling sites.

E-Bay only succeeded in saving and maintaining it's good name.

It's only a matter of time until the gold bots find a way around this.

Gold makes the world of silkroad rotate, and with it the wheels of crime.

This is good news for legit players. It is bad news for E-bay gold sellers.

This, alone, however, does not mean it's an "end to goldbotting."

ummm no sorry but your wrong ggkyo...i have brought gold from

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZOMG!!!1111
I'm LOVING this.

But theres 1 prob.. most ppl buy gold from sites like AllEyezOnMe mentioned.. (supgold.com / thepowerlvl.com) >.<

But, it's a start. Looking at the other topic that dutch guy made, with the newspages about koreon gold farmers and the gouvernment considering making it illegal, i think this is one hell of a start. They soon enough will find out the sites sell the gold themselves even more.

Actually, this is not good for the gold bots, but rather level bots.

People would bot to a high lvl , farmed, and sell them.

Now, kinda redundant.

Try using the English language, we'll all enjoy it

And don't be dumb dude, unless you are here posting threads and never reading any of the others, you would have to be aware that it isn't noobs getting hacked.

We've seen some very experienced players being hacked.

Apart from all this, yes it's a good thing that Ebay won't be allowing the sale of these things but it's unlikely that this will really impact on gold bot numbers.

haven't you just admitted to contributing to the problem itself then?

i fail to see why your so happy if so, seeing how you may well have caused gold seller to continue with ebay selling by buying it....

(obviously until now that is)
