Well most of it is bulls*it, but the accual fact is that WoW has a lot of more users, more workers and more $$$$$ so they have more resources and therefore can provide a better service.

I personaly think that Joymax is doing quite ok with their game, cuz it's a free game (with an item mall) and therefore they have more botters (like the % of players botting, not the number of players botting). Though they should commit like a month or two to get rid of some more bots and that should also get the lagg down a bit (it did when the last bot ban was finished).

Joymax probably has only 1 office in Korea?. So they are like monitoring bolth kSRO, jSRO and iSro from there. (not sure about that, just quessing :P ). Correct me if I'm wrong.

both points of view are theories.

there is the theory that GMs and joymax ban gold bots because they dont get money from them and ban player bots occasionally to for public relations.

there is the theory that GMs and joymax try to ban all bots.

as with all theories there is evidence for both. how myself id lean towards the former, due to the fact that from a technical point of view botting is a very simple problem to solve. as is other issues like 1 star poping, global chat abuse etc.

Every theory is but a theory but some are more reasonable than others and isn't exactly "people can believe what they want". The poster doesn't seem to be completely off either.

Blatant bots are a fact in SRO because player bots are still roaming at level 80 and legit players are still grinding away.

Banning bots woud probably cut JM profits by at least 20%? Better solutions might be to delevel bots by 10 levels, accomodate their skills, and swipe their SP. That way botters can bot some more and JM can make more $. Win-win situation. If bots decrease, legit players win too.

I rather call this bullshit.

Joymax does ban isrobot users i know a lot of them who got banned but the hard part with bot cards they just create a new char and bot again easy as that, buying silk has nothing to do with isrobot users not being so called banned.

Anything that is payed for is hard to ban ... why cause when you find out how to detect them ..the bot creators just make the bot better (we are talking about money here)

goldfarm bots are easy to ban just because most of them have been reported tons of times by loads of people. they grind very long on 1 spot ...makes them easy to ban when a gm checks the bot reported locations.

isrobot users tend to babysit during silkroad daytime and bot at night. most who got banned are the non babysitters. the only way Joymax really could decrease isrobot users is by accepting solid proof like vids and screenshot (for example http://www.silkroadforums.com/screensho ... ew&id=2055)

The problem is not only for us the players but also for Joymax, the more bots the less silk easy as that.

They just overwhelmed themselves by not having a big crew to handle this, and they seem to be hard learners and wont accept changes in their department .

I changed my mind about the GMs, Morningdew helped me out with getting my account back and submitted a investigation request to GM Korea for my hacked account. ^__^ im very pleased, they are actually doing something!!
