just a theory, though its based off the attitude ive seen working with companies when i consulted and my current job.

oh god not this crap again..sorry but lets face it, the reason why theres
nothing there for bot bans is because since xmas any and all bots are
banned right away. no more 4 week crap. its a delection of account and
the end of that payer.
oh and bots dont buy gold ok....this was started along time ago by angry
kids who themselves hacked and botted and got caught, and being unable
to understand why others werent being banned as well they magicly came
up with the theory that bots must buy silk....to which there is 0 evidence
to support such theories
hell i mean if i had a bot, gold bot, item bot or even grind bot. why the
hell am i going to spend money on something when am too lazy to even
do (i.e. play with it ) myself, or in the care of gold/item bot, if am going
to sell the item on e-bay why would i pay un-needed money for it.
It was something that kids came up with because the problem with kids is
that their spolit. and as such they want eveything now now now. and when
bots arnt being banned....they make up this gold bot crap.
i mean lets face it...its the same peopel who one week cry for a new
server because its full....get the new server and manage to over populate
it. and then weeks later ask for a new server becasue its full...being
either too stupid to understand that patten or not caring.
and if Joymax cared about money they why is this a free game. if their
idea is to make it free and then make use pay for it....well not from what
i seen...hell the last time i suggest that all the stupid kids ( mentioned
above) pratically crucifed me in the other forums for even suggesting it.
at the end of the say 9000+ bots were banned in just 3 weeks. plus bots
are being reported and huge bannings are coming. crying and moaning
about it solves nothing ok.

with a gold ticket you can bot sp farm 250k in idealy 20 to 30 days. (250k sp has taken people with a gold ticket 2 months. so 60/3 since 8*3 = 24, 8 hours manually grinding a day).
2 from a programming point of view finding a bot is not hard. bots use netcode. all one has to create a profile of possible bots based off grind time and a sliding formula for how much xp / sp they gain per day (sliding to account for different levels). now take your bot apps, put them in a test enviroment, find anomilies in their netcode. create an analyzer to ID those anomalies and use it on possible bot list.
3 - theres an interesting detail that SRO is virtually designed for botting. i dont typically play mmorpgs, but i like SRO's combat system. ive talked to my other friends who play guild wars / WOW / eve. it seems most mmorpgs you get xp and gear from doing group style missions, fighting on your own is in-efficient. in SRO its completely the opposite, all that matters in SRO is solo grinding.
and whats the best way to do that? a bot.
bots arent a huge problem in a game like guild wars where you need a team. because players suck at solo grinding, bots rock at solo grinding. bots suck at group missions, players rock at group missions. now JM may have not meant to design their game to basically be like eve, but with bots instead. but they did.
Edit: and i didnt say they dont ban bots, i said i doubt they ban people who bot and buy silk. why ban a paying customer for the sake of a leech? as well, post your evidence that they do ban people who bot and buy silk. if i recall ive seen several posts where people complained that JM for some reason didnt ban very well known botters.
Im gonna put a disclaimer on this because people make assumptions. i said theory and thats what it is. just like you have a theory that they consistently ban players who buy silk and bot.

I'm botting and i dont got banned yet,my friend got banned ago few days and he was buying gt/rabbit/scrolls.So yea joymax bans silk buyers, and yes every botter buys gold ticket/rabbit.You dont level fast enough w/o gt n rabbit.Think how should joymax ban botters, that babysit, they dont have a protection or something in that way.Their one method is this "Hello are you there,we have been reported that you are using blablalb" "If you dont answer in 10 seconds, then your account will get blocked due using illegal programs. If you answer to the gm,then you are free.
I know this forum doesnt support bots in any way:roll:.And well if i get banned i know why![]()
Anyway i'm not that bad
jus my lill 2 cents ^_^

interesting. wonder if they make bots that alert you when someone messages you. possibly a network link to an msn / aim / etc account so you can have protection while you work (as in being at work).
heh its cool that your laid back unlike most people lol. unfortunately not enough data to test my theory that botters are more laid back since they dont get so stressed out from SRO.

zonas_jaf wrote:thats interesting to know. it makes sense. if your baby sitting a bot your going to level just as fast as a hand grinder. kind of makes me wish SRO would make a 'pay to bot' that you have to babysit. they did design the game where the most efficient way to level / sp farm is to bot. granted if they dont screw up the party missions in 5 years that may change.

Yes and No, if you want the FASTEST leveling yes you need a GT. BUT, if you bot 24 hours a day, a GT is next to useless because that's like 27 hours a day (21 hours + (3 hours * 2)). So an extra 3 hours a day is 1/8 faster or about 12+% faster.3 - theres an interesting detail that SRO is virtually designed for botting. i dont typically play mmorpgs, but i like SRO's combat system. ive talked to my other friends who play guild wars / WOW / eve. it seems most mmorpgs you get xp and gear from doing group style missions, fighting on your own is in-efficient. in SRO its completely the opposite, all that matters in SRO is solo grinding.

Unfortunately so. SRO is screwing us over in that it's a pretty good PvP game but the GRIND is horrendous. SRO can fix this and decrease the effectiveness of botting by forcing people to be in the same area for parties to work (just like 8 party) and simple make all monsters a bit stronger to decrease soloing or spawn tons more champs and giants or make SUPER monsters. SRO should also dramatically reduce experience, sp, and drops from green and blue monsters to prevent bots 1-shotting monsters which is just about as effective levelnig as you can get because you use the least amount of skills, the least amount of MP, the least amount of HP (actually NO HP loss).Think how should joymax ban botters, that babysit, they dont have a protection or something in that way.Their one method is this "Hello are you there,we have been reported that you are using blablalb" "If you dont answer in 10 seconds, then your account will get blocked due using illegal programs. If you answer to the gm,then you are free.

actually there are alot of solo farming bots in GW you just don't know because the entire game is basically instanced, and its very possible to efficiently solo.
as for WOW i solo everyday, the only reason they don't have bots is beacause blizzard has a huge staff on wow that bans them as soon as seen or reported
