ok today I was grinding at huybongmonwong ghost solider, then i've saw a lvl 20 trader (I was 25) so I put thief suit and take a camel and started to follow him, but the 4d thief never spawned :( then a 40-50 hunter just popped out of nowhere so i've dropped camle zerked and runned away like a mofo until i've realised it was a dude from my union

can anyone teach me how to pop? ^^ where should i put my camel? do I need to mount it?

LMAO!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
( I've gone into zerk and ran away a few times too lmao!!! )

The reason you didnt spawn any thieves was because your horse/camel wanst carrying anything, you need to have atleast 1 *unit* of merchandise before they start spawning.

^^;

i have 5 methods of pop :)
1. U are thief, u can spawn thief npc when u carry goods
2. U are trader, use a horse with 1* and go in front of the trader. U'll spawn thieves and they will attack the neariest target. After that, teleport or relogin to put thief suit on.
3. U are thief, spawn npc thief and kill all but lightning imbue thief. Stay next to the trader's camel. Thief will deal splash damage and kill both trader and camel.
4. U are thief. When the trader spawn thief npc, use an AoE nuke to kill the thief. It may damage the trader (not verified yet :P)
5. U are a normal person, as long as is not thief, ALT+Click to attack the transport with brute force, but dont kill it. Wait until npc thieves do the last hit. (use this method only when u are very high lvl so that nobody can kill u, and use low lvl weapon)

impossible.

The spawns from a traders horse are automatically targeted onto the trader/his transport and DO NOT attack anything else unless they are attacked.

Thieves spawns, on the other hand, are not auto-targeted to the thief/his transport, but will attack the nearest object. If there are no other targets around, then the thieves will attack the theifs horse/the theif himself

Nver conclude something if u never test. Because i tested so i say it is possible. In a guild/union trade, the trader who stay behind the run suffer the most.
Trader's thief acts like mob, it will attack the most nearest and the person who attack it
Thief's thief attack the most nearest. If u are thief and u hit it, it wont change object and will keep attack the most nearest object. If u are non-thief, it will attack u back if u hit it.

the thief NPC's have an ORDER of attack :P.....

the order goes: 1st : Hunters, traders/trans, Nearest : Last

has little to do with who spawned them, wichever is higher on their list and closest (with very few acceptions) to them when they 1st agro, they will go after first...

BTW, u forgot a way to pop (low lvl's only), gather a bunch of local npc's and drag them infront of or on top of a passing trader...

:P

other method : drawing mob
In Jangan, draw tigers
In DW, draw bugs, earth ghost, chakji, especially red scorpions because of thiers slow speed
Draw dozen of them the until they are close to the trader, grass walk away

you may have never known that the theif grabbed a loot before going after the 1& trader. seeing that yuo didn't norice the high level hunter was from your own union and all, lmao.

i love popping. i get popped also a lot, it's a silly part of the game.

Hunting is a pathetic job. Traders don't care about u hunting, they only want to get to the other town as fast as they can riding their transport. Traders are like people spamming rez, they hardly ever say thanks ~ I'm a thief

ROFLMFAO i remember in aege we had a lvl 60 blader (when the cap was 60) and we had to keep killing it so it could kill more trades - it hit the 200k cap and had a constant 15/15 limit XD damn that was fun

You can only have that opinion for one of 4 reasons.

1. You have hardly ever hunted if at all.
2. You have a rep that proceeds you. (like being a prolific popper or perhaps a jerk)
3. You are lying to suit your distortion of reality.
4. You expect every person you help to prostrate themselves before you.

Any how I get thanks all the time for helping ppl. Hell I have even been sincerely thanked by people I had robbed earlier. I shit you not. Happens kinda regularly. Just one of the perks of not being one of those stand offish, snobbish highlvl jerks. ~I'm a lvl 2, trader lvl 2 thief, lvl 2 hunter.
