Moving Server

I've seen on WoW that you can change your characters realm, I think this would be a great idea for SRO.

It has downsides such as you would be losing your guild, the guild tabards and other minor things such as pm's but on the whole i think this would be vey useful in SRO.

If you server was crowded full of botters, you could switch server to make the game easier or if there was too much lag on one server you could switch or maybe you would switch just because of friends, I don't know.

On WoW it costs £14.99 to move a character to a different realm, do you think SRO should use this?

You can discuss issues here e.g. price, botting, full servers...

I wouldn't mind it if they put in a feature like this.

That way you can always visit each other in game, for a trade run or whatever.

I wouldn't pay for it, though.

nah...that would mean when a new server would open everyone would be very high lvl and you wouldnt get the advantage of low lvl 2*+ trades and such imo

With that in mind
Dont alow moving server for couple months

and i played wow and its a very good way plus the company makes alot of money i would pay £5 for this

Nah not 1 month, the hardcore legit players will reach 80 in about 2-2.5 months.

They won't put it to 1 month just because the botters reach 80 in a month and a half- 2 months. EvilSoul is lvl 80 on Eldorado, server is exactly 1 month and 26 days old.

i think this was discussed before and someone raised teh issue that one might have other characters from another server and if you want to transfer, it may screw up the char coz u used the same name. or someone used the same name and youd end up having the same name which would screw up everything.

i wouldn't mind server switching, i have friends from all over and even liking Tiber coz of a certain guild there.

but i think it would be only for tournaments. like the best for the best from each server pitted againsts each other. that would be exciting.

New servers would be useless.

Unless they set up a rule that you couldn't move into a server until it loses it's "New" status

Yeah, with new servers have to wait a couple of months or somethin to be able to move in their older servers they will allow you to move in their straight away. As for the cost, I woudln't mind paying up to £5 to transfer my char, but nothing more then that though.

Everyone should move out of Venice and I'll be the only one there.
And I should get a huge full blue SoSun+9 droprate to compensate it.
And then I'll go level on uniques and no ordinary mobs.
Uniques will spawn every 30 minutes.

Yeah It would be hot if you could rep your guild on any server any day....So like one day you can play on Aege and one day on Xian...Sh it would be sick....

I think I read somewhere on the sro forum that joymax had discussed this before or something.

Would be nice if you could switch the char's to another server but as many has said about switching to a new server isn't such a good idea lol.

Maybe when a new server opwns, a certain period of time must go by until a player from a different server can change to that new server. Like a month for something!?

yes he/she did leave with Elite

. They were tight.

On-topic: morningdew did say they were discussing this feature. However, it would be limited to certain older servers. I guess for example Xian, Troy, Aege. Maybe Babel.

they need to stop opening so many damn servers then! just stick to what we got, but can actually change servers...

and their pvp system is so much better

capture the flag, u can get people from different servers in 1 arena.. :banghead:

lol, then i can get into this Tibetan guild that im having so much fun watching. and i guess people who copyrighted their char's names on all the servers will be the ones that will be having diffculties. but what if another legit user has the same IGN as mine?

but im still with best server against another server's.

Xian is where my family is. it's where my friends that i've fought and died with are. I have friends from other servers because of SRF, and people make noob chars on Xian just to say hi to me sometimes, but i could never leave Xian.
